Recycle Livingston is in desperate need of more volunteers, especially on Wednesdays, and we need more site managers. The site manager position is a paid position at $15/hour and is part-time. This is due to lack of volunteers and site managers as well as the colder temperatures of winter. We will continue to be open every Saturday until such time as we run into the same problems on Saturdays.
Please consider volunteering or joining our team as a site manager. Please call Julie at 517.548.4439 for more information. Recycle livingston is awarding annually (5) $1,000 scholarships to high school students upon graduation to use for college or trade school programs. Our policy of asking all recyclers to stay in their cars during their visit to Recycle Livingston will be enforced going forward.

Services
Here at Recycle Livingston, our volunteers and staff are working hard to make recycling convenient for you. We appreciate your effort to reduce the waste stream of Livingston County by recycling with us. Through your efforts, an average of over 400 tons of material have been collected and diverted from landfills every year at our site.
For immediate assistance, call 517-548-4439. We do our best to staff the office to take phone calls on site days that we are open. Our answering machine is checked frequently, so feel free to call and leave a message if you have a question or need more information. Recycle Livingston employees work part-time.
Meet Recycle Livingston, the only non-profit recycling center serving the residents of Livingston County since 1989. Since our beginning, we have relied on volunteer support so we can provide our services at a minimal cost and be available to everyone. Many of the materials we accept are difficult and expensive to recycle.
The Kellogg Family Foundation is committed to creating opportunities for local organizations, helping them branch into new areas of need and expanding existing programs to serve more people. Recycle Livingston has been around since 1989 and is the only non-profit recycling center serving the residents of Livingston County.
We realized that our mission should include educating and encouraging our youth to get involved. So we are going to put our money where our ideals are. We are offering up to (5) scholarships annually of $1,000 each to be awarded to successful enrollees. Please contact Julie Cribley at 517.548.4439 to schedule your first date for volunteering and to enroll in the program.

Maybe I am spoiled, but I definitely miss the all-day, all-the-time recycling drop off center near Lansing that has a larger list of accepted items and is free to the public. This just feels limited in time, recyclables, and money in comparison. Probably an apples to orange comparison somehow someway, but that was my experience before.
This place is only open a couple days a week for a few hours, so there is usually a 5-15 minute wait since everyone has to go at the same time. It is a $40 a year membership (or something like $7 per drop). Furthermore they don't take some types of glass nor any
