Catalytic converters became widely used in 1975 to meet rising EPA air pollution restrictions. In exhaust systems, catalytic converters provide a space where the chemicals in exhaust can be made less harmful before being released into the air. The materials in converters can be recycled - either as converters or in other applications.

Had my son take some clean aluminum from railing that I built, other metal scraps and a never-been-used hot water heater...got a whole $7. What a rip off...wish I would have told my son to hold onto the stuff to take to another scrap yard. Last visit. Should have learned from my previous visit where I also got barely anything. Scap Dog is much more fair.

I noticed a review was removed due to the google account comment wasn’t affiliated to your system logs. Just because the names don’t match doesn’t mean we still got below minimal on aluminum. Seems there is a few other complaints based on the same topic.
Don’t delete reviews that are accurate just because your upset...
Google account over who visits your place. Clearly the point is not getting across.
Doesn’t matter. Won’t be coming back. Especially after bitter bater on a google review. Lol

Mann Metals is the biggest rip-off scrap yard in Michigan. They will take full advantage of you and screw you over heavily. For example for the average man that walks into a scrap yard number one bailing at this time as $115 a ton. They straight up lied to my face and told me metal went down and it’s only $80 a ton. Everywhere else at this time is offering $115-135 a ton. If I was able to put a dumpster on my job site I would be getting $165 a ton. Mann metals is very sketchy, they talk to each other Spanish so you don’t have a clue what’s going on. If I could give 0 stars I would. It’s

Low R.O.I.
Loading a dump cart from a trailer isn't acceptable
No public scales
No clearly marked tare on the dump carts
Not possible to verify weights.
Not the place to go if you have a few thousand pounds to recycle.
Smallest and least helpful yard I have ever been to.
I sure won't take scrap there from any other stores I help close and scrap.

Awesome service, great employees, amazing employer. Honestly we came here because we were recommended by a family friend and we were definitely satisfied. The truck driver James was very punctual and courteous and gave us a fair rate for the scrap metal we had. The owners are always so polite and caring, the employees are helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

It took 15 minutes for me to find someone to help me! Then another 10 minutes for the to weigh the hopper. The prices are not posted, less than 1/2 of the price of my usual yard...... I will drive the extra 14 miles to double the price. This is the worst yard I've been to!!!! ( Look for the Dog if you want fair prices. )

I am so disappointmentted in the lack of care these people take to provide accurate accounting of the metals given to them. I took the time to separate my metals and they didn't pay me for the separate metals. I got paid 10 cents a pound for computers on my individual hard drives, my solid copper heat sinks and a whopping 9 dollars for two copper core radiators.
