Pilates By Jennavie
Jennavie Ochoa, founder of PBJ, is a certified Classical Pilates Instructor through Studio du Corps in Costa Mesa, CA with a B.A. in Dance from UC Irvine. While pursuing Dance in her undergraduate program at UC Irvine's Claire Trevor School of the Arts, she furthered her curriculum by diving into the biomechanics of the moving body during her college term.

That ultimately led her to teach Pilates within a wellness center and now, running her own Pilates studio in Brea as a soloprenuer. PBJ prides itself on bringing total body awareness and mindful movement through the Classical Pilates Method established by Joseph Pilates. Pilates by Jennavie now has two well-seasoned Pilates instructors teaching alongside Jennavie!
Services
You must make any changes or cancellation 24 hours from the classes start time. If you do not cancel, or are a no show, your account will forfeit the class from your package and you will be charged in full. This policy applies to all classes/appointments/sessions. In consideration for others, please arrive at least five minutes before class and wait on the bench or outside of the studio.
What we do reccommend for anyone first trying Pilates out is that you take Private lessons with one of our instructors to learn the movement foundation. Ultimately, we want you to know be aware of what you are doing if you were to take a group class setting. This is a chance for us to assess your body and have a direct conversation with you about your body mechanics and how Pilates is going to specifically help you.

I have been getting sessions with Jennavie for about 6 months now. I have NEVER exercised regularly, so I was like jello - no strength in my body at all! My goal was to get stronger & I can definitely feel that I am much stronger than when I first got started! Jennavie walks through every movement, step by step - how to prep yourself, how to use your breath, how fast/slow you should be going, etc. As a beginner, it really helped a lot. I can mimic the movements, but without proper instructions, my body will not benefit. So I am very appreciative of the detailed instructions & help

I've been taking Pilates classes at Jennavie's studio for three months now and I am incredibly grateful for the way that Jennavie has met me where I am in my journey to get stronger. I walked in with no prior experience and had no idea what to expect. Since the beginning, Jennavie has created a space where I feel physically and mentally supported. She simultaneously challenges me to push my limits. I have taken classes with some of the other instructors that teach at the studio and they also uphold the same kind of work ethic. Pilates has been a game changer for not just my physical health

I cannot recommend this place enough! Despite being a beginner, Jennavie's patient and kind demeanor helped me feel confident in every movement we went through. My boyfriend and I have been doing dual sessions for about a year now and we can feel the effects of Pilates by Jennavie in everything that we do! From getting out of bed to just standing, we can feel the difference in our posture and movement thanks to Jennavie! Beginner or super advanced, I'd definitely recommend this studio!!

Going into my first session with Jennavie, I had never tried Pilates before so I was very skeptical. By the end of my first session, I was loving the work out and wishing it wouldn't end. Jennavie was very attentive and able to shape the session to fit my specific needs. She was very supportive of me and assisted me with finding accurate posture and techniques in each of the exercises we did. I've tried various fitness classes with many different instructors and I can say without a doubt that my time with Jennavie was the most fun and one-on-one session that I've tried. 10/10 would

I am just a beginner in the Pilates world and Jennavie has patiently worked with me to improve my strength and flexibility. She is patient, but she also encourages me to accomplish things I didn't know I could. I've not had another Pilates instructor, but I also don't think I'll ever look for another one.

Jennavie is the best!!!
I started with her about 5 months ago, at the beginning of my pregnancy. She has some training in prenatal pilates, so she knows exactly what I can/can't do as my pregnancy progresses. She has been fantastic throughout my pregnancy and as my body changes. Jen always knows exactly what I need and has little tips/corrections that make a huge difference!
I go to Jennavie a few times a week - and I really look forward to my sessions! She is so easy to talk to and the sessions go by quickly. It's like hanging out with a friend for an hour, while getting a good

Jennavie is extremely intuitive about the needs of her clients. She customizes the sessions to address flexibility and strength issues on different areas of the body, and is very knowledgeable about body dynamics and injury prevention. She is motivating, and creates a very fun atmosphere in her studio. She's an amazing educator- highly recommended!

I am writing this on my wife's yelp account. I am 58 and Jen has been my instructor for 4 years. She's fantastic! I started doing Pilates originally for a sciatic problem and for the last 31/2 years she has helped me through Pilates become a better surfer than I was as a young guy and more flexible than I ever thought I'd be. She is always well prepared and enthusiastic. I'm such a big fan that I have my wife, son and daughter also going to Jen!

I cannot imagine my life without Pilates. I've been a Pilates practitioner for many years. I have rheumatoid arthritis and it is the best form of exercise for me--building my flexibility and strength. Jennavie is the best instructor. I've been her client for several years now. She is highly skilled and attentive. She is focused on form and making sure her clients progress. She is positive, energetic, caring, and full of encouragement. This is something I don't mind spending money on-- it will be the reason I stay healthy and strong as I age.

Jennavie is AMAZING! She is a very talented Pilates instructor who will go above and beyond to improving my body and her other clients. She's super outgoing and makes working out more fun/entertaining. I've never taken a Pilates class before but once Jen gave me a trail run, I was already hooked because I can feel the improvement in my body. I'm excited to take more of her classes and see how much I improve because of her!
