I'm the owner and a therapist at Journey to Joy Counseling. I believe that many people reach a point in their lives where they feel overwhelmed by life. This could be triggered by the loss of a job, a struggling marriage, family issues, or a personal battle. It can be hard to reach out for help. Throughout my 10+ years of being a therapist, I've had some amazing supervisors who have taught, molded, and mentored me. My background includes a few years in community mental health, as well as many years in a successful private practice. One of my favorite things to do is to pass the knowledge I have absorbed onto other therapists through Private Practice Consulting, Consulting for Health Insurance, and providing Clinical Supervision.

Christy is great to work with. She made me feel at ease from the minute I walked through the door.
