Our maintenance staff completely redecorates each apartment when someone moves out. This includes repairs, spackle and paint, update of any item in the apartment as needed, a complete deep clean of everything in the apartment, and professional steam cleaning of the carpet if it is not being replaced.

They are forcing the installation of "Smart" home features although the current system is more than satisfactory and more secure. Reviews for the SmartRent system being installed are 1.6 stars on the Google Play store. It seems silly to upgrade something that is not broken while the appliances are yellowing from age and do not even have a digital clock.

Did not fix a thing. Air didn’t work for two summers and when they couldn’t fix it they replied “you should fill upstairs”. Didn’t finish any work that they started. And when you try and get a hold of people higher up they don’t respond back. When the upstairs neighbors patio was leaking into our apartment they painted the ceiling and let some water out and never came back.

PROS:
Location is great.
Easy highway access.
Small park nearby.
Grocery and Gas station really close.
Emergency services close by.
CONS:
Rent is WAAAYY too expensive for one bedroom apartment.
- Started at $935 a month, rose $965 next year, and was going to be over a GRAND if stayed.
Appliances are yellowed and old.
Loud neighbors.
Hallways often have a scent/smell as well as the mailroom.
Update:
If you accidentally send packages to your old apartment.
Expect them to be lost forever, staff claims that my items weren't there as delivered(e-mail notification

Updated: disappointed that we pay so much and have no cameras in sight. Our things have been stolen for months and nothing has been done about it.
Tanglewood staff is very friendly. It is a beautiful area and also a very safe community (which was important for us as a family with small children, coming from a not-so-good area). I highly recommend Tanglewood Apartments.

If I would give this complex a 0 I would. My roof was leaking for 3+ weeks and I was unable to use most of my bedroom and dinning room because of it. They will not compensate due to it being “weather related”. They also don’t fix things just haft fix things. Several items have been destroyed due to my washer and dryer. My fridge also freezers my food. Each of these issues have not been solved for months. I would suggest not living here.

Quiet area and tucked away of the main road. In 2 years, no issues with neighbor noise. However, if you or anyone in your building turns on the water, the pipes will bang against the walls of your unit. Other than water leaking from the patio door frame when ever it rains, occasional light switches glowing, and most of the time the hallways stink, no serious issues. I did not like waking up to maintenance being in my unit without notice and 2-3 times a month having my water shut off, though. I was really excited about the pond and being able to fish. I soon realized its just for looks, as its not

I am coming up on a year living here. It is very peaceful, my neighbors are all very kind and we respect one another. I cannot believe that I am living among all these people. I was concerned about the location by the freeway, not an issue at all. Even before the state put up the sound barrier. Now you can barely hear the traffic. These apartments are very family friendly. The staff always responds quickly to any request and I like how they have free pizza days and other cookout activities to bring tenants together. I know after a long day at work, I can come home and relax!!

Our time spent at Tanglewood has been enjoyable. When we moved in, we experienced a leak with our washer, called maintenance, and they came right away to fix the problem. That really put Tanglewood in a positive light for us because we have had such problems with maintenance with past apartment complexes. I will miss the community events that… they hosted for their residents. It really was a highlight when I came home from a day of work and someone else has dinner for us 😂 Neighbors are friendly! The only reason we are moving is because the apartments are quite small for a young

I have been living here for one and a half years now and really love this place. The office staff and maintenance staff are friendly, super responsive, and get to know you. The appliances here are simple but work (or they are quick to fix them if they stop working) and includes a washer and dryer in unit which is my favorite part. The amount of space in my one bedroom is perfect and the noise from other neighbors is limited (it is an apartment so it's not completely silent). They hold some really cool get togethers for the entire community several times a year and will pass out snacks

I recently moved to Wisconsin and was unable to find somewhere to live quick enough with only a 30 day notice. Tanglewood was one of the few places available and honestly has been one of the worst places I have lived in yet. From having ants everywhere throughout my apartment or in the hallways to the lack of security in each building with some break ins.
I will say management is always available and always responds in a timely matter, however, have no remorse for their tenants. I had my heat go out for almost 2 months in the winter and they were more then willing to give me a heater which caused

I currently live in this complex. I have been here for 1 year and two months. I have very nice neighbors (all of which are very patient and understanding of any noise coming from my apartment-I have a two year old). My building is quiet, there is always parking available, the office staff are friendly, and all of my maintenance requests have been handled in a timely manner. They have nice community events and community gardens you can rent. I have generally enjoyed living here. All that being said, I would not recommend this complex if you are looking for somewhere to settle for longer than a year

Oak Creek is definitely not Milwaukee's east side. While I missed the food & entertainment options the east side provided, I did not miss having to find a parking spot everywhere I went, nor did I miss the higher rent I'd have to pay if I lived there.
Tanglewood Apartments has treated me kindly. Management is incredibly friendly and willing to help with the task at hand. Maintenance is always there to fix the problem promptly.
In the twelve months I've lived here, I never heard a neighbor unless I was in the hallway. It's a really quiet experience that's well landscaped
