We have never replaced the brakes since we bought it new. We took it to National Brake and Automotive. They are so honest.
They checked them out and said we still had about twenty thousand miles left on our brakes. He didn't charge us a dime for checking them out. They don't only fix brakes, they replace tires and any automotive issues, except transmissions. I believe any other place would have replaced the brakes regardless.

My Jeep Wrangler developed a problem where in reverse my left rear wheel locked up. It was determined the parking brake was intermittently making contact with the brake drum causing the lock. This could’ve led to a major problem if I was driving and it decided to lock up at highway speeds.
I called the location, told them it was drivable (and we had a spare vehicle). He got me in within 2 days. I dropped my vehicle off early without a complaint. Lou and all the guys here are great. I used to frequent another area auto mechanic shop, but it was overpriced, impersonal, and many times the problem wasn't actually fixed. Many of my friends told me to switch to National Brake & Automotive and so glad I did! When I take my car here for a problem, they explain the issue and even show you the part that was malfunctioning. Even better is that they do great work at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them!

We've been using National Brake for our auto repairs for years without ever once having to bring the vehicle back in because of faulty work. If you want the problem diagnosed properly and repaired correctly the first time, this is the place to go. The more than fair prices are icing on the cake, and Mark has always been prompt with getting the job done. They don't try to run the bill up by trying to upsell you everything under the sun either.

Seriously THE only place I trust going in the area. I'm from Chicago but when I come home to visit the family, I always make it a point to go here to get my car looked at. The staff is amazing (ask for Mark), the prices are low and the service is great. I took my car here after an accident and it came back running better than before. I wish I could give this place more stars!!
