I had a few pieces of family jewelry that I couldn't get any information on thru the family anymore. I just wanted to see if they had any value or history that was available so i checked local reviews & saw that arthur groom was very well regarded and so ii decided to bring them there. Arthur groom did an amazing job with my engagement ring and wedding band. They created a completely custom set with an heirloom diamond and heirloom band, inspired by my preferred styles. Allie was so great to work with- extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and a great communicator. She turned my vision into reality and I am forever grateful.

I stopped in here for a St. Christopher's medal for my wife because it was her birthday. We happened to be in Ridgewood up the street at the Pancake House and passed Arthur Groom on our way to get a bubble tea. I snuck over while pretending to put money in the meter. What I found was a well put together store. The lighting was inviting and I was treated like I had come here before. I was invited to see the repair shop downstairs and they even had an appraisal laboratory. I rarely visit jewelry stores unless my wife's involved, but its nice to know they aren't all the same!

Each time I find some new cool piece of Jewelry. Family oriented and accommodating sales staff. Ali helped my Fiancé and I pick out an amazing ring. She was able to get it done in a perfect time frame. I have also had watches fixed here and have bought other jewelry. I look forward to another lovely experience when it comes to picking out wedding bands.

My previous review was removed and I am not sure why. I purchased a St.Christopher's charm in preparation for my daughters trip to Paris and had a great experience with the staff. As I was being helped one of the young ladies who was working there offered to clean my wedding band and my wife's rings! They didn't charge us for it either! I am posting this review again because it seems to have been taken off of Yelp and my experience needs to be shared!

I've been coming here for years. I've had my wife's Ebel repaired twice, her engagement ring fixed (one of the prongs was loose) and it also needed to have platinum added to it since the last guy had used white gold. Anyway, they were extremely nice, helpful and professional. Since then, I've had them do two appraisals on my wife's rings for insurance purposes, and now they're resizing my wedding ring. I recommend them highly.

I just had Arthur Groom add some links to a few of my wife's watches after another jeweler refused to replace links on a ceramic watch band.They even removed a link for (no charge)after my wife added 1 too many links.The staff is exceptionally courteous and professional and provides a very rare level of customer service.Its the type of customer service once common many years ago, but very seldom seen nowadays.Keep up the good work.You will be seeing me again and again!

Terrible on so many levels. I bought a sapphire and diamond ring at an auction. I brought it here to get an appraisal. Upon inspection the ring had a cracked diamond. I left the ring with the jewerler to repair the stone and replace the appraisal page that said the ring had a cracked diamond. I also left some other repairs, sizing issues and a new prong setting for my engagement ring. I have had the engagement ring for 35 years.
The jeweler called with estimates and I thought they were fair for the diamond but a bit high for the new prong setting, sizing of a few rings and repairs of a missing

Let me start by saying that my in-laws have used Arthur Groom for years, and they came highly recommended. When it came time for my husband to propose to me, they did an absolutely amazing job incorporating his grandmother's diamonds into my ring. During the wedding band design appointments, they met and exceeded our expectations. I am in love with my ring, as is everyone who notices it. What I'm not in love with, is the fact that one of the diamonds, most likely one from his grandmother's ring, has fallen out twice. Arthur Groom kindly replaced it the first time, but now says there

I had a very disappointing experience at Arthur Groom in Ridgewood. In December 2013 I took my Rado watch in for repair. The cost of this repair was $500.
In June 2014 I noticed my watch was not running. I then noticed the back of the watch was missing. I took the watch back and was told that repairs were needed and the watch was rusted inside - another $500.
I took the watch home and will look for a more reputable jeweler.

I went there for my emerald ring appraisal. Store was clean and very nicely carpeted with red. Staffs were generally friendly. Cecilia who is GIA certified jewelry appraiser took me downstairs where appraisal lab located. Lab was spacey, very neat. She assessed my ring, also other appraiser who is specialized with emerald checked my ring as well. Cecillia explained to me step by step what she was doing and what she is going to do. Wonderful and knowledgeable staff and a beautiful selection of jewelry.
They have a gemologist on staff and also have the ability to make custom pieces or update older pieces in a modern way.
Of course they have an amazing selection of diamond pieces, but if you are looking for gems (especially emeralds), you NEED to go over there. Amazing.
