Keegan's Jewelers, the area's oldest jewelry store, was established in Norwood in 1951 by George Keegan. The store was simply known by word of mouth with not even a sign on the building. If you needed service on a watch or a good deal on an engagement ring, you were told go see "George the Jeweler".
One carat equals to 0.2 grams or 200 milligrams. Carat weight is the prime factor that determines the weight of a diamond. Larger diamonds are undoubtedly costlier. Carat makes expressing diamond weight easier as compared to milligrams. Instead of giving three labels to diamonds weighing 20 milligrams, 211 milligrams and 220 milligrams, carat offers a category for fitting the diamonds in a one category, placing these diamonds in one-carat range.
Keegan's Jewelers not only carries fine jewelry but also offers expert jewelry repair, watch repair, diamond setting, pearl stringing, laser welding, appraisals, and custom design using CAD technology. Keegan's has a state of the art workshop. You can be assured that at Keegan's your jewelry will be safe and secure since all our repairs are done on the premises by our expert jewelers.

Keegan's Jewelers is not responsible for stones that may be damaged in setting, cleaning, or repair work due to these unknown conditions.

My wife’s lost a sapphire in her ring so I brought this into Keegan’s to repair because they did some work for me before and their quality is second to none. This was one of three sapphires so matching the color, cut, clarity and size was not an easy task but after searching everywhere they found that is an excellent match. We found our forever jeweler. Keegan’s in Norwood and Donna. I was very nervous but Donna was so helpful, made me feel so comfortable and like I was the only one in the store. They did a fantastic job resizing my wedding bands, they are even more beautiful than when they were given to me 21 years ago. We will certainly be back..very soon!

We initially had a great experience with Donna. She was thoughtful, kind, and took her time with us picking out wedding bands. We chose Keegan's because it is a small, family owned business. We saw all the great reviews and thought this is a great place. Unfortunately our great initial experience with Donna ended there.

I took my diving watch here to have the battery replaced for $10. Then I was told that they would need to replace the seal as well for another $10 which was fine. Then I get a phone call stating that the stem that sets the watch somehow was broken even though it worked perfectly fine before I brought it in there raising it another $30. After all was said and done a $10 battery replacement cost me well over $60 and it took a month for me to get my watch back so I will doubtfully ever return to this jeweler ever again.

My girlfriend dropped off a watch for a battery replacement and they lost the watch! The watch has a significant amount of sentimental value and she's unsure of the actual cash value. Her grandmother left it to her. This was suppose to be a quick fix and she was expecting a call by the end of the day.. latest the end of the following business day. They lost the watch and tried to say she already picked it up and are you sure you're at the correct place.. Blah, blah, blah.

Keegan's Jewelers were our saving grace when it came to my wedding band. After an extremely disappointing and exhausting experience with another company, my fiance and I went to Keegan's with a slither of hope and with very limited time before our wedding date to find and forge the wedding band I truly wanted. Keegan's is a great Norwood institution. You just can't beat the service, and their craftsmanship is exceptional. I've entrusted them with my engagement ring, which was my grandmother's and has needed some repair over the years. They have done beautiful work to preserve as much of the existing setting and their repairs look good as new. Most recently, they cleaned a precious pair of silver earrings and brought them back to life. They are so helpful and kind, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Keegan's!

I was in there earlier today with a chain my Dad gave to me that means a lot to me sentimentally. It had knotted up with another chain since it's so thin and delicate, I couldn't get the knot out and I didn't want to ruin the chain. I took it there and a woman that works there was so patient and worked out the large knot. She was so nice and we had a nice conversation as she worked to get the knot out. I was so happy she was able to get the knot out without doing any damage to the chain. Thank you so much and I intend on returning.

My fiancé and I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Keegan's Norwood Jewelers!! My fiancé and his dad went to Keegan's together to pick out the perfect engagement ring (and they did a great job with Stephen's help!). From what I understand, Stephen showed them multiple stones, took them through The Four Cs, which was completely new to my fiancé, and then helped them choose the stone and the setting to create my perfect custom ring.

I cannot stop raving about experience at Keegan's in Norwood. My fiance's family have been regulars for years so I have always heard how great they are. I knew when the time came, my engagement ring would come from Keegan's.
This past Summer the time had come. My (then) boyfriend, went to Keegan's and worked with Sean to find the most perfect diamond and ring setting for me. The quality and clarity of the diamond is greater than I could have ever imagined. However, this isn't the only reason I'm writing a review.

My now husband and I are huge fans of Keegan's! I had an heirloom ring, which had both a diamond and a sapphire setting, as well as some small diamonds around the band. I wanted the sapphire to be replaced with a diamond, and wanted to use it as my engagement ring. Still never going back, the channel diamond that they replaced after it fell out, fell out again!! Shawn was the one who told me to leave the store after I became upset. I still remember, it's customary for the diamond to come loose.
We had the main diamond setting repaired at a different jeweler with no issues for the past few years now, after they repaired the incorrect setting that Keegan's did and stated it was normal to be spinning in it's setting...
They've been here forever so I'm sure this feedback does nothing to persuade unawares of some of their shady practices

Huge fan of this place. They have never steered my family the wrong way for years. They have handled situations in my family that were less ideal and made them into memorable experiences now full of smiles. They have treated my grandmother and mother with amazing respect and my father always turns to Keegan's when shopping for something special. I had an excellent experience here. I brought my engagement ring in as it desperately needed to be sized down. I was apprehensive, because I look young and assumed I would be treated like I was wasting their time. Rachel immediately came to help me and she was amazing.
