Driftwood Day Camp was established in 1959. With the acquisition of Driftwood in 2008, the Kuznetz and Wagenberg Families quickly turned Driftwood into the premier Day Camp on Long Island. With a magnificent completely rebuilt and renovated campus, Driftwood is the only camp named Best of Long Island by the Long Island Press for the past ten consecutive years.

At Driftwood Day Camp we understand the importance of caring for your children. Which is why our staff is highly trained and well equipped to make sure your children are safe while having "The Summer of Their Lives". Our Staff never sits on the sidelines. They are engaged and active in all aspects of camp, from swimming in the pools to participating in food fights.

Childhood is life when it comes to this place. No kid could have a better summer than this one. I have been going to this camp for 10 years, well it would of been 11th last summer but it wasn’t due to COVID 19. I plan to be a staff member there in future. The campers are so cute especially the little ones and they really do make sure you have the time of your life . There activities there are so much fun. I miss driftwood so much and throughout the years I have always cried on the last day of Camp. Driftwood is place to be and it’s never leaving my life. FANTASTIC PLACE😁

I decided to spend my summer working as a counselor with driftwood. I went through the process and everyone I spoke to was very nice. I did a little research on the camp and saw how much it cost for kids to attend for the summer. I was greatly disappointed with the compensation I would have received should I have taken the job with driftwood. After doing the math they were only going to pay just over five dollars per hour which is significantly lower than minimum wage and for the prices they charge it is disgusting. They only hire college students for that position so they must understand the struggle

This place is extremely unprofessional with its staffing. Accidental emails, getting the run around, being told they would contact me and making me wait two weeks just to tell me they don't want "to make me wait around" for the position of group leader. I'm happy I didn't end up working here but the way they handled their professionalism was beyond a let down to say the least. If I had kids they would not attend this camp. They seem like they mean well but really have no idea what they are doing. I've read other reviews of problems with Driftwood management respecting

My 15 year old daughter was a CIT at Driftwood this summer. Almost every day she has come home in tears. The counselors in her group, especially Brittney, verbally abused and bullied her. Brittney spoke badly about her to other counselors and staff in front of her. One counselor asked her "if she was having her period" when she disagreed with them. We contacted the camp mid July to address the issue. Mike Wags' response was to suggest that she transfer to another group. Mike, the correct response was, "That behavior from our staff is unacceptable. I will speak with them

My daughter has gone to camp here for the last two summers and absolutely loves it. The counselors and staff are amazing. There's so much for the kids to do. They also learn so much. For instance, Courtney has become a very good and confident swimmer during her time here. We would definitely recommend Driftwood and are sending our younger daughter there next year as well.

Simply the best camp ever! There really is no camp out there that puts their heart and sole into each and every aspect of their camp! They go above and beyond for every camper and treat each camper as if it's their own child! They have every activity under the sun and more! Truly a remarkable place that's a Disney in our own backyard!

"Best Day Camp Ever" is an understatement. Its a child's paradise. I am normally not one to do the camp thing, but am so glad I did. The staff is so caring about your child, going way above "doing their job". We had a tough year, we lost everything in a house fire so we decided to send our daughter last year due to being away from our home and town. I saw a smile that melts a mother's heart everyday I picked her up. Will go again. We looked at other camps, but nothing compared. She had more fun then at Disney! And they accommodated all her sensory issues. They also

Driftwood Day Camp is the best camp on Long Island. They took such good care of my 5 year old daughter. I never worried a day about her being safe and happy. The group leaders are in touch with you every day. You can't ask for more from a camp. And my daughter had the time of her life doing exciting things every day.
