LuHi Summer Programs expansive 32-acre campus is located in the heart of Brookville, a small community on Long Island's North Shore. In the late 1950s, a group of pastors and 17 Lutheran congregations united to found a Lutheran high school that could serve all of Long Island. They purchased the former Deering Howe Estate at 131 Brookville Road as a site for the school.
Joining the LuHi Summer Programs staff means becoming part of the LuHi family. As a LuHi staff member, you will gain work and life experiences that you will carry with you forever. We are committed to helping our staff members develop leadership skills as well as discover their own passions through their work with different age groups, programs, and teams around campus.
Leave a $500 deposit and receive a $100 credit for each two-week session you enroll in ($50 credit per week of LuHi Country Day). NEW THIS YEAR - you'll receive an additional credit of $100 when you sign up for the entire summer (all 4 sessions/8 weeks). LuHi Country Day is designed as an active & enriching experience, rooted in fun, innovative activities, strong values, & special rituals and traditions.
Located on the North Shore of Long Island in Brookville, LuHi's 32-acre campus offers campers a variety of indoor and outdoor experiences. Rolling hills and trees frame our Baseball and Softball Fields, and four- full-sized NCAA indoor basketball courts, a dozen outdoor basketball and tennis courts, and a state-of-the-art turf field allow our Athletics programs to flourish.
LuHi will continue to monitor guidelines and protocols from national, state, and local officials to ensure our plans for Summer 2021 are in line with recommended best practices. Though we await specific guidance and protocols, we can assure you that LuHi is committed to making sure our campus is the safest place for your child this summer.

Beware - one of the worst places for a concert in terms of sound (what were you folks thinking going down to bare brick walls, crazy ceiling height and no damping ?) Some real good artists play there, but the acoustics do none of them justice.
Was much better as the Intermedia Art Center (IMAC). Now, its just another "venue", overpriced drinks, rows of folding chairs for "orchestra" seats, "Founders" area for the privileged who'll pay a crazy "membership" fee. Bring earplugs..

Went here for 6 years straight or something like that. Had the time of my life at basketball camp every session. Food is great competition is great they always make it fun and theres plenty of opportunity to improve as a player. A couple sessions where I wish my coach had a different approach or I wish I had a different coach but overall had a great experience always. And the bus rides home with the boys were always entertaining

I enrolled my son in this school because I knew he needed a smaller, more individualized learning setting. LUHI has been able to tailor his advanced academic needs while having small class sizes. The tight-knit, diverse school community is engaging and nurturing. Christian, spiritual education is a strong influence, but the school is also all inclusive so the multi-cultural experience is real. I highly recommend this school.

Avoid at all costs. Zero supervision at sports programs. Children are bullied. A few children, including my own ended up getting hurt. My own ended up in an emergency room. The director, Dan, is HORRIBLE. Condescending and fake, and lies through his teeth. The medical staff there is clueless if a child is hurt at what to do. When my son lost conscience and they called me, I literally hurt on the phone the nurse asking someone: "what's the protocol here". Avoid this place like the plague. This camp is so bad, it should be shut down. If you care for the safety of your child, avoid at all costs. The

My son has been attending this camp for 3 years now, and he just turned 10. The camp offers both traditional programs where the campers are involved in lots of different activities and one where If however, the camper finds that they enjoy particular activities whether it's a sport activity or a radio-controlled airplane type of activity or anything in between, they can choose in 2 week sessions to do just that activity that they love. The price is so reasonable for what you're getting and my son loves it. You've got to at least find out more about this camp. I can't say enough positive things

My boys have been going to LUHI for years. My oldest is not sporty so started in video game development and then GIFT. He is now in fencing and it has been so good for him to do a physical activity and he loves it. My younger son is sports oriented and does soccer and basketball and also loves the program. They provide lunch for an extra fee and busing. I cant say enough about the summer program.

LUHI Camp experience from HELL. My son's 1st month there. Another kid (from GN) puts him in a headlock, flips him, causes my son to fall head back and blackout. What next? Nothing. No one besides other kids was even there to see what happened. Zero supervision, zero counselors. After a 2-3 min blackout, my son lifted himself up and sought help from kids. Camp called me and casually told me my son fell and has a headache. While I was on my way to get him, they called me again and told me he threw up twice. I told them it's still going to take me at least 20 mins to get there so they need to rush

My daughter had the best time at the LuDay summer program, a part of LuHi Summer Programs, where the children explored dinosaurs, learned to play well with others, and were cared for by the best teachers. Thank you LuHi Summer Programs!
