I LOVE WHEELER'S! Every year when I go wild hog hunting over by Gonzalez, I time my trips so I can stop here going (to pick up deer corn and other supplies) and coming (to buy fine Western apparel). They really are a kind of stand-alone, family-run Cabelas. Usually I purchase a fine new pair of cowboy boots or a Western jacket. When I bring my granddaughter, she has her choice of outfits and always buys a pair of western riding gloves as her preferred rifle and hunting gloves. I refreshingly classy Western outfitter!

I used to love shopping at Wheelers. Their selection of western wear is great. I can always find great stuff there. However the last 2 times we have stopped in the staff has been uninterested in helping. Last week when we were there the young manager & the other staff was more interested in talking about another employee than helping us find the jeans we were looking for. Hopefully they will get it together. I really like the their products & would rather shop locally.

Rude staff. Not helpful whatsoever. They seemed upset that they had to ring me up even though I helped myself. I would never go back, and felt so awkward and would have walked out if I didn't need the item right away. Just so Rude!!! I don't know what their issue is with me maybe race because the woman that was behind me was greeted warmly. Whatever the case I will never give them my business again!

These guys had a trailer I liked on their lot. I called them to get more info and they were so helpful and polite. When I got there to look at it, their description was 100% accurate. They were honest and made a good deal for my trade. Paperwork was just a few minutes and then I wandered around the retail store, which is full of fun things. Great place for trailers and anything horse-related.

About four months ago I went into the trailer service area to order a skylight cover and a vent cover. The individual measured the covers and wrote up the order. A month or so went by, without contact from the service department telling that my items were in and ready to schedule an install so, I went into the store to inquire. Long story short, the individual stated they'd lost the order and blamed some guy the just left or was fired for not ordering the items. So, I had to bring my trailer back in to have measurements taken again. I arrived and the individual stated he didn't

First time in Wheeler's and we enjoyed it.. They have something for everyone in the family! Very friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely be headed back there. The ladies that helped me with my boots were super nice and they have the greatest fashion sense! They have some unique boots too y'all!

Went in here to buy ammo and deer corn. The store is nice and has a good selection of items. The price was a little high in comparison to other stores in the area. The real problem is in the feed barn. We pulled up and had to ask where we should go while 6 employees just stood around doing what appeared to be nothing. Once we pulled in to their feed barn, they just stood there with a blank stare on their faces until I got out of the truck, walked the receipt over to them and explained what it was we were there for. All of which we wouldn't have had issues with had the lady inside the store

I'm new to the area and the sport of archery. I stopped by some archery stores around town to get some opinions and this was my second stop, but it should be your first. The Archery staff was so awesome! No pressure staff, professional unbiased opinions, and went above and beyond to make me feel very comfortable.
I brought my 10 month old bow and they helped me upgrade things to fit my needs instead of trying to sell me a new one. Instead of $1,500-2,000 like the other guys said I need to spend, they helped me get totally comfortable and set up for 1/4 the price. I felt more confident

Came in for spurs, Emily was extremely helpful. She went as far to stretch out the straps for me! What a gal! Saw a Stetson straw hat on sale for $59.99 and took up on the great deal!
The second time I went in, some sale associates were a bit too aggressive with selling boots. They tried to tell me Snip Toe boots with a spur ridge don't exist. =(
Juan saved the day when I came in a 3rd time to get my crumpled hat reshaped. He is very kind and will entertain you while he shapes your hat. Be sure to tip him. He did an amazing job!

Used the archery shop because of the folks who used to work there. Did not know they had moved on. Will not ever return. They have a younger guy there who does shoddy work. I get the feeling I got a restrung bow that was not paper tuned or served correctly. I bought Vapor Trail strings and the serving is coming off with less than 300 shots through the bow. It took two trips to get a peep served in so it would not fly off. I will pay for service and expertise, but this was by far the worst I have ever seen with a bow. I wanted to use them because they are not a big box store and it keeps

I went to Wheelers for the first time with my wife and daughter.We walked around the store and I was surprised that we walked by many sales people and were not asked if we needed any help. I was interested in buying a Compound Bow and went to the bow section. There was a young man working on a bow and never was asked if he could help or if I had any questions. I finally took a bow down and he said not to pull it back which I knew not to dry fire. They lost out on an 800 dollar sell ! We left immediately . Never will go back and went to Bass Pro. I guess they can act like they are doing you a favor
