Sandwich Inn & Suites
Set back off the Old King's Highway in the oldest town on Cape Cod and in the largest historic district in the country, the Sandwich Inn and Suites has been recently restored to keep the rustic charm of the original 1950s inn, but with all the tasteful style and upgraded amenities that are truly Cape Cod.

Location in Sandwich, the inn is only 20 minutes from Cape Cod or 25 minutes from Plymouth, MA. The inn is set amongst acres of old oak trees, just two miles from the popular Sandwich Boardwalk and the three million dollar rejuvenated Town Neck Beach. Nearby the inn is all that the quaint town of Sandwich offers, such as the Cape Cod Canal Visitor Center, The Heritage Gardens, and the Sandwich Glass Museum with live glassblowing demonstrations.
Services
The motel is a cluster of seven buildings spread out across almost 4 acres of oak trees on the Old Kings Highway, the first property on your right after the Welcome to Historic Sandwich sign. There is designated free parking for one regular-sized vehicle, with overflow spaces on a first-come basis, so please alert us if you will have more than one regular-sized vehicle.
We have small buildings and motel rooms here with doors that open to the outside, so you just drive up to your room. No elevators or interior hallways, no going past lobbies, no encountering anyone. All of our rooms have windows that open, with screens on them. Fresh air, anytime. All heat and air are from room units only.
The bed was nice. There was no top sheet on our bed. Is that normal? The floors (vinyl) were filthy. Because they are gray wood looking, you can't tell. It doesn't appear they are cleaned between guests. They were sticky. We spilled water in the kitchen, and when wiping it up, saw the dirt and grime on the paper towel.
If you are using a GPS, most seem to like the address format as 14 MA-6A Sandwich, MA. If Sandwich Inn and Suites does not come up, try searching for the Shady Nook Inn, which is what the place was called before we changed the name. Or, try searching for Twin Acres Ice-Cream, which is across the street from the inn.

The Inn was recently remodeled, clean, quaint, and comfortable. But, while we were there, our stay was interrupted by the nor 'ester. The Inn lost power and we were forced to find other accommodations off the Cape. Before we checked out, the staff promised us a full refund for the nights we couldn't stay. It's been weeks with no response to our multiple inquiries asking about the refund. We are planning to go back to this area often and would've stayed at this place in a heartbeat but we'll be finding other accommodations. They've definitely lost our business and we would have recommended with

Very nice, comfortable accommodations. It's tucked just off the road, in the woods. Our room was very clean and tidey. The only thing that was needed, was emptying the dehumidifier, which was nothing at all. The cable TV was a bit less than expected, bit we only watch TV to fall asleep to.
The grounds are beautiful, everything was manicured perfectly.
All staff were very friendly and helpful.
The continental breakfast was great! The seating areas were also clean and tide.
We plan on bisiting again!

Exceptional place to stay. I couldn't believe the price when I saw it online, so I assumed it was going to be a "get what you pay for" situation but boy was I wrong. This was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The lot was beautiful and well taken care of; the color scheme was really modern and homey. The office was nice and smelled great, with a cold breakfast bar featuring fresh hard boiled eggs, cereals, baked goods, and all the fixings. There is a small laundry room - one washer, one dryer, and a vending machine with snacks, drinks and laundry soap - off the back that has a separate

Friendly staffs and awesome continental breakfast. The room is cute but humid. We had three rooms, but only one room had dehumidifier. Hope they have dehumidifiers in every room.

Staff was very friendly and very helpful. After initially checking in we felt very uncomfortable with another guest staring at us as we were unpacking our car, etc. We then went back inside to the check in area and the staff was happy to accommodate us and move us to a different room. Room was newly remodeled and clean.
