Navy Yacht Club San Diego serves the military community by offering a gateway to greater enjoyment of San Diego's natural maritime resources. The club supports sailing and boating programs offered by the San Diego MWR by providing patrons the community and camaraderie that is the hallmark of yachting organizations, and by providing opportunities for continued sailing mastery and boating competence.

The club is a member of the San Diego Association of Yacht Clubs, San Diego Cruiser Association, the Southern California Yachting Association, and the United States Sailing Association. The club is a branch chapter of the International Order of Blue Gavel(IOBG).
Services
NYCSD members participate in a number activities and programs to support both civilian and military communities in our area. Each year SGYC hosts the Wheelchair Regatta, which is a chance for club members and volunteers to share SGYC with hundreds of disabled individuals to enjoy a "Day on the Bay", lunch, music, and friendship.

The Race Management Team of Navy Yacht Club San Diego is dedicated to conducting quality events mainly in the South San Diego Bay area. Beginning in 2019, Navy Yacht Club San Diego is proud to host Clean Regattas, certified by Sailors for the Sea. We are excited to join with our racers in doing our part to reduce ocean pollution!
Race Organizers Partner with Sailors for the Sea to Go Green and Achieve Clean Regattas Certification. Navy Yacht Club San Diego is proud to announce that they have joined the race to restore ocean health with Sailors for the Sea's Clean Regattas program.
