Coronado Yacht Club
Since 1932, our members have validated their passion for yachting and boating through their Corinthian spirit - a principle the Club was built upon. With over 1,200 members, the Club offers world-class regattas, one-design racing, fine and casual dining experiences as well as live music and private events.

Members and guests of CYC and reciprocal yacht clubs delight in visiting our historical yacht club to gaze upon a glorious Bay view and reveling in its long-standing traditions and camaraderie. The marked success of the Coronado Yacht Club can be directly attributed to the principles upon which the Club is organized.
Services
Coronado Yacht Club was founded initially in 1913, but was short lived due to World War I. Material for building slips was obtained on credit, and soon many of the 200 new members were working side by side on docks and slips for the Club. The first few years were under the able direction of Commodore Major Ivan B. Snell.
To create and maintain the total yacht and boating experience for our members and the surrounding community and to promote a fraternal spirit among members, yachtsmen and other yacht clubs. Promote all levels of recreational and competitive boating, yachting and uphold the Corinthian spirit;. Promote boating, social, and educational programs to reflect the diverse needs and values of the CYC membership;.
The Coronado Yacht Club is located on Strand Way, in the middle of Pomona Avenue and Silver Strand Blvd. We overlook the Glorietta Bay and are neighbors to the Hotel del Coronado, Glorietta Bay Marina, Coronado Tennis Center and the Coronado Golf Course. Our marina has direct access to the nearby San Diego Bay and the open waters of the Pacific Ocean.
We currently offer 271 wet slips, 81 dry slips, kayak and paddleboard racks and storage sheds. Courtesy berthing may be granted to vessels belonging to members of recognized yacht clubs when dock space is available. If you have any questions about reciprocal mooring and other related subjects, please contact the Front Office at (619)435-1848.
Our bartenders are here to serve your favorite adult libations, whether it is on a hot summery day or on a cool breezy evening. We are open every day during our summer season, starting at 4:00 PM. Reservations are required for all dinner services and recommended for weekend services. No reservations can be made for parties over 10 people.

Visiting from Michigan City, Indiana Yacht Club on Lake Michigan. Took family and grandson here for dinner last night. Very friendly people, beautiful location, food was very good, drinks were generous. If I ever relocate to SD Area I would definitely look into joining this very nice club.

CYC is a beautiful Club. The members are friendly and the front desk staff are exceptional and very accomodating. Fabian greeted us upon arrival and made sure we got the lay of the land. We had a wonderful visit and can't wait to return. Thank you to all of the staff and members we meet.

Was there with my family who has several slips . They left and that's when I noticed I locked my keys/phone in my car. Went to the office and said ""I locked my keys in my car can i use your phone?""
Her reply " can you ?"
Family doesn't pay to get their family and friends treated like kindergartners.

We visited here during a quick trip to San Diego. They welcome visitors from other clubs and were very gracious. Nice ambiance and a complete lack of pretense makes this place a winner!

CYC is one of the most family friendly clubs around. They have a learn to sail program for children & adults. The Coronado High School Sailing Team is a top contender for racing. The Junior Sailing Program is recognized as one of the best in California.
They have breakfast/brunch & lunch on Saturday & Sunday with their own Chef & servers. Wednesday & Friday nights they have excellent dinners .
Regular memberships, Social, Junior Flag & Junior memberships are also available.
CYC IS A FUN PLACE TO BE.

This is your typical old school yacht club. My family is a member of Newport Harbor Yacht Club so we were visitors here. They were very kind to us and had good food and beer.

As far as event space goes, I give this place a 4.

The school I work for had a Casino Night party here and the space accommodated us well. We were able to hold a 3-member band in the bar area and a photo booth (backdrop and photo light), 7 auction tables, nearly 10 casino tables, and 4 food tables in the main area. The bathrooms were pretty clean and the drinks were amazing cheap.

One thing I wasn't fond of, however, was the fact that people who were not part of our event had the opportunity to come in. It was THAT big of a deal, but I didn't appreciate the drunk guys who stole our

Captain's tip: If you're part of the Yacht club you can rent boats for half price. I recommend the 32-ft. sailing kind that makes frequent stops to various cheesy harbor-side restaurant/bars.
