Eric Gustavsen, owner of Ultimate Auto Care, has loved cars all his life - driving them, working on them and learning how to fix them. After spending 20+ years working at other people's shops he decided to open his own. I’ve been going here a little over a year now after being told it would cost more than $100 to do something that takes 15-20 minutes (as a professional to do) and the parts to do so only cost about $25. It actually came down to me doing it myself once because of Covid but I’m so grateful to have found these guys. I have 3 cars with two having been here and one not yet but she’s old and will definitely need work done in the not doing distant future.
Rambling aside I 100% recommend these guys. They’re awesome and as in previous reviews they are one of the only places I trust to get great

Extremely fair and honest work, never been so impressed with a mechanic before. Was very willing to spend time explaining exactly what was going on, and did a better job explaining things than most teachers I've had in my life.
Very nice, very professional, and I plan on returning here if/when my car has any more issues!

Best mechanic I’ve ever been too. I’ve been here multiple times over the years and the guys who work here are friendly, honest, and reliable; all the qualities of a great shop. These guys respond fast and gave the best quote on Yelp service was done quickly and efficiently. I would have given them a five-star review except for my check engine light is on now and the battery terminal negative was loose I had to tighten it other than that I think you're going to get your best deal with these guys as far as cost goes.

I was shopping around for a vehicle inspection for rideshare (Uber & Lyft.) I found them here on yelp and gave them a call. They were super friendly and were able to get me in the same day. I arrived and was quickly checked in. They were super fast and I was out if there within 20 minutes. I can tell you with 100% certainty that they have the best price in town for rideshare inspections and the customer service was excellent! I could not have asked for a better experience.

Came for a lamp inspection to bring a salvage title to operation for DMV. I had originally used another shop for brake & lamp but we failed the lamp and after ordering parts and installing, they were booked out a week or more for a re-inspection. The other shop also wanted $75 for the re-inspection AFTER paying them $250 for the initial brake/light.

Ultimate Auto Care did a top-notch job on my RV replacing the rear drum brakes and then demonstrating the necessity of also changing the master cylinder.
I had complete confidence in their work and the pricing was reasonable.
What a difference it made after all the work was done!

My daughter is a student at Sonoma State Univ. and she called me because her check engine light went on. I found Eric at Ultimate Auto Care via Yelp, sent him a note, and he got right back to me with a quote to run a diagnostic check on my daughters car. He also reassured me that they service autos of plenty of other Sonoma State students and take good care of them.
I sent him a message on a Sunday and he got right back to me, same day. My daughter made an appointment for Thursday, took her car in, he found the problem, ordered the part, repaired the problem and she was on her way by Friday afternoon

I checked around with six local oil change spots for my kids 325I.
These guys had the best price and the best reviews and I have to back it up my son said great service they said it took a half hour it took a half an hour
my kid also saved$15 by bringing in a gift for a toy drive
