All three students were accepted and will be attending Bolshoi's 2021 Summer Intensive. We are extremely proud of their acceptance into such a prestigious program, with Vivian Lee attending on scholarship.

Services
The Classical Ballet Academy founded in 1990 by Crystal Peterson, is the premier high caliber training facility in the area, focusing exclusively on ballet. Located in Altadena at the borders of La Canada and Pasadena, just minutes from JPL. Our Curriculum emphasizes the classical ballet technique based upon the Russian tradition of training called the Vaganova Method.
Private Classes in Technique, Pointe, Ballet Floor Barre, Video submissions, Youth American Grand Prix, other competitions, roles or Pas de Deux are available from any instructor. Students who wish to "fast-track" or "get-caught up", will benefit greatly from the wealth of knowledge, information and instruction provided in private or semi-private classes.
Crystal and Star Peterson are the top in their field. As an adult returning to ballet, I have greatly benefitted from Crystal's excellent and dedicated instruction. Her Ballet de Floor is the best in the West! Crystal teaches the most authentic, effective Floor Barre. Her clear instruction has given me strength, length and has helped to heal injuries and long time muscle imbalances that I've struggled with.

Crystal and Star are incredible! They are very hands-on and help you work within your body's limits to the very best you can do. They really care about their students' well-being as well as the students' work, and foster a warm, inviting, no-nonsense environment in which to really learn! There's a reason why I've been coming back for 13 years ;) two thumbs up!

My 10 year old daughter loves coming here and her teacher.
Star is seriously dedicated to teaching the art of ballet .
The classes are small ,focused and challenging .
with out making them feel bad about their bodies . I would recommend this school for any child willing to make the commitment to the art of ballet dancing .
