Committed to a collaborative approach, Dr. Stapleton and his team work with patients and their providers to implement effective treatment plans. At Portland Pain Care we will work to provide the best outcomes possible, whether through minimally invasive procedures or a comprehensive approach to pain management. We offer convenient locations throughout the Portland area for office visits and procedures.
Services
Unlike traditional SCS, HF10 therapy relieves pain without tingling or buzzing and it won't give you an unexpected shock when you bend, twist, or engage in other daily activities. A spinal cord stimulator, also called a dorsal column stimulator is a device which stimulates pain-carrying nerves via small electrical wires placed in the "epidural space" just outside the spinal cord.
Stapleton's team approach to creating a treatment plan was wonderful. From my first visit with Cindy to the expert care I received from him during the procedure, I was always treated with the utmost respect and dignity. He and his staff are more than just a "doctor's office." They are very special to me!

The Portland Pain Care's office is severely disorganized. After my virtual appointment July 20th, they were supposed to put in a request for a neck MRI as they would do nothing for me until after it is done. After over a week I got a call asking if I had scheduled it yet, I hadn't heard anything so they gave me the clinic's number to reach out and schedule. I called and was told they had already left a message for the pain clinic the other day as they did not accept my insurance. Called the pain clinic and was told they never got a voicemail and they asked me to recommend what locations did accept

The care was very gentle and professionally delivered. Nurses and doctor were very thoughtful; my experience was quite pleasant.
HOWEVER, in their office when I was told of the shot, I was not given any information about the cost of having it done at the location that performed it. Had I known that the hospital would charge me over 2000 dollars to have the procedure done, there is no way I would have moved forward with it. I think they should give these kind of costs up front so a person can decide if they want to move forward with a procedure

Dr. Stapleton and all of the people at his offices are great. I have been going to him for years, getting an epidural steroid injection every couple of years as a “tune up”. Because of him I am able to enjoy my retirement, golf every day and avoid having surgery. He also has a real kindness about him. You know he really cares about his patients!

DR. Stapleton was referred to me by my primary at the VA for a military service injury of my spine. He has helped me get the treatment I have needed for over a decade. What can I say besides he is absolutely awesome and ALL his staff are the best at what the do. Highly recommend if you want results.

I had to give 1 star to post review I give NONE! This office is run by nurses and assistants that Dr Stapleton is never at nore instructs. I saw Dr Stapleton 1 time when I was on operating table being rolled into room having the trial stimulator implanted. It worked amazing but extreme pain at site of wires and assembly going into spin. I didn't sleep more than 2 hours a night for week with implant and pain was overwhelming almost to point of delirium last 2 nights of 7 day trial I almost tried ripping wires out to stop pain. I notified them of pain during trial and at appointment for removal I

Very nice people but wish would spend more time treating and finding pain sources instead of leading up to things that don't necessarily take care of the problems but mask them and really dont understand the process of difference of taking off pain meds which mask pain and the same things done that mask the problem like burning or numbing and insurance being billed for doing the same things over and over. The logic doesn't seem like its doing anything but making money for Drs. But you will find that most Drs have the same remedies especially where opioids are given. For the most part Drs dont give

My mother comes here and she’s unable to drive so either me or someone else has to take her and every time she’s had her appointment with David (the doctor) he’s always a minimum of 30 min. Late all the way up to 2 hours. It’s horrible that they don’t even inform you when the doctors running late and it’s horrible that it’s all the time, most people don’t have all day to wait for one doctor to see them and especially when David doesn't listen to his patients or show any care into helping them.
