English Renaissance philosopher and writer, Sir Francis Bacon said, "Knowledge is power." We couldn't agree more. We think your health and wellness begin with education, fact-finding, and a medically sound diagnosis based on building a communicative and trusting relationship with our patients.

We expect you to ask tough questions, learn how to assimilate our procedures and program into your busy life, and put in the effort for an extraordinary outcome. We promise to treat what ails you with a relate-able, accessible, and practical approach. We genuinely believe that the more you know, the faster and more effective your results will be.
When visiting our office, you will become familiar with some of the more common terms when learning about how osteopathic / sports medicine works towards the healing process. We hope that this glossary of terms will help support your partnership with Pursuit Sports Medicine. Knowledge helps you on your road to recovery!
Medical terminology can be confusing for patients and even for doctors in training. In medical school we are taught that an elbow or shoulder sprain is a "tendinitis". Unless physicians go onto a specialty concentrating on the musculoskeletal system, it is very likely they will continue to diagnose a shoulder "bursitis" or "tendinitis".

Dr Johnson is thorough, passionate, understanding, knowledgeable, and patient. He's a nerd in the best way possible and will answer your questions you might think are dumb breaking down into laymans to the nth degree. Sasha, who runs the front desk, is also responsive and extremely reliable at follow ups and questions. They're a great team.

Dr Johnson is amazing. He truly took the time to fully listen to your concerns to make the proper diagnosis. I have had intense back and pelvic pains off and on for years. After going through and carefully looking he was able to find out that it was a rib issue. After some manipulations the pain has gone away. This is something I could not resolve in the past with multiple visits to other doctors and lots of money wasted.

Dr. Johnson is an excellent osteopath. His prolo injections brought stability to a decades long ankle injury. He combines great competence and empathy while treating patients. As a health care provider who shares patients with him, I receive wonderful feedback about his skills and kindness. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Johnson is incredible. To overdue the sports analogies:
1. Hole in one skill level
2. Above the rim bedside manner
3. Hat Trick customer service with great ambiance, amazing personnel and world class care
If you have injuries that need treatment and care and want options beyond just going under the knife this is your guy! I would travel across the country to see him.

Dr. Paul Johnson is an outstanding sports medicine doctor! He is extremely knowledgeable, caring and has wonderful communication skills. He helped my daughter make a full recovery from her repeated ankle injuries and get back to her competitive soccer and basketball. Dr. Johnson took the time to teach both of us about her injury and then he collaborated with a local physical therapist to design a plan for her recovery. He truly went above and beyond to provide high quality care and checking in periodically to see how she was doing. A++

Excellent care and superior interpersonal skills (aka "bedside manner"). I would highly recommend Dr. Paul. If you have never received treatment from a DO versus an MD, you are in for a great surprise.

I have gone to Dr. Johnson for various problems. I have always left his office with pain relief; and feeling truly cared about. He listens, checks out what hurts, gives some pushes and pulls and voila, smile.
