We live locally and this is our favorite restaurant for date night and celebrations, like Valentine's and birthdays. The sushi is always incredible and the dishes have asian flair that is subtle but packs a punch. My go-to is the grouper special, which means that the chef's preparation of it varies from day-to-day. Tonight was a cajun cream sauce, and the sides were Jasmine rice and napa cabbage. It tasted as good as it looked! My husband's ribeye was cooked perfectly and was tender and flavorful. We enjoyed the honey cake for dessert and it was amazing...

Our waiter was very nice and restaurant was clean. We ordered the shaggy rolls as an appetizer and it was the best sushi I have had in my life! The scallops didn’t have a nice sear on it like advertised but still was decent while the bed of coconut rice was so good!! The fried shrimp was perfect. The salad was good and good tasting croutons. The lava cake was amazing and the best lava cake I ever had.

A hidden gem! When we drove up I wasn't sure, because it's located in a strip shopping center across from the canal. But, walking into Big Fish and looking around was enough to immediately change that perception! Their staff, menu options, food and atmosphere are 5-stars in my book. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Gulf Shores!

What a hidden gem!!!! We were visiting from the Midwest and were told that Big Fish was the best restaurant in Gulf Shores for seafood.
We were not disappointed, we had the Red Snapper and Swordfish. Was the best fresh fish we have ever had.
The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is amazing, and they made our night very memorable. Our waiter, Sean, was very personable and made it feel like we had be friends since childhood. We will definitely be back anytime we are in the area.

Overall service and food was great!
We went on a Thursday evening in August and we got a table within a couple of minutes. I thought it was busy though for a typical day in August. We decided to visit here because of the reviews, and I am glad we visited. My husband got the 14oz ribeye, cooked perfect for what he wanted and flavor was delicious. I got the grouper: cooked “big fish style” and it was amazing! Oh and If you like key lime, the Key lime martini is a must!

Don’t let the outside deter you. Although, in a small shopping mall and extremely tight parking lot, inside is really nice. Reservations are recommended, but if you have a large party I recommend calling ahead and going at 4 or 430. They don’t start getting busy till later. I got the triple tail nightly special. It is pricey, but the quality of service, fresh seafood, and selection is high. This is not a belly buster restaurant so don’t expect huge portions. The portions for main courses for fish are a little larger than a dietary “healthy” portion. Recommend to anyone looking for a high
