Each piece of shrimp, scallop and crab were cooked to perfection, not under or overdone in the slightest. And though not listed on the menu, the fresh basil in the sauce worked wonderfully in concert with the other flavors, bringing a light refreshment to match the heavier richness of the alfredo. It was our last night in Orange Beach, Alabama.
We had paddle boarded, swam, and walked the beach about as much as we could stand that day. We were beat, but we wanted one last "hoorah" before packing up the van the next morning, and we had been meaning to check out the wharf while in town, so we landed on going to Villaggio Grille. As far as restaurants go, our experience in Orange Beach had been kind of hit or miss until then.

Villaggio, at the Wharf, in Orange Beach is one of our favorite places to eat. We been eating here for several years, and NEVER had a meal less then excellent. Can not say I have a favorite because EVERTHING we had on the menu is really a treat. My wife and I split a grilled (16 oz) pork chop (medium cooked), the last two times we ate there. Outstanding.
This place is a bit pricy for us, but we both agree that the food and their drinks are well worth the price. By saying this, Villaggio is not over priced compared to our area. It’s just the best for the price.

The reason I'm giving this low review is as follows when sat down the waiter ( Dewey) fill our water glass with nasty hand( food was on his hand). When he went over the menu and touch it the food was transferred from his hand to the menu. Which is very unsanitary especially with everything going on. When I told him what I wanted to ordered he started over explaining what I was ordering like I'm slow and didn't now what I was ordering or couldn't read . When my order was brought out my food ( Seaford Pasta) was lukewarm while me dates food was smoking hot 🔥 and very good. While mines was bland

We have never had a bad experience at Villagio! The service and food is top notch for sure. We love everything we have ordered there. We often grab lunch there and usually get the fish special. The risotto is amazing.
They are kid friendly which is a plus. Our daughter loves their pizza and usually gets that. She loves drawing on the paper tablecloth.

This was a last minute dining experience. Every restaurant around town was packed and we needed to be at the wharf at a certain time. So, we decided to give this place a try. The food was really good, but it was expensive. They had really good arnold palmers (limonade/tea mix). I had the cowboy ribeye. It had a gravy type sauce on top. It was really good. Oh and I really liked their mashed potatoes.

Food was very good! Personally, I would not give this a " romantic " review. I saw that and assumed it was but not so much. It's in a mall at the wharf and there were strobe lights going the entire time we were there and trying to share an anniversary evening. It was anything but romantic. Thank goodness the food was great. The service was nice, but he never mentioned the anniversary and that was a bit disappointing.

What a wonderful experience. After getting out fresh seafood fix all week, the Villaggion Grille hit the spot for some land lubber cuisine. The beef carpaccio appetizer was fabulous. But the star of the show, was the huge pork chop with apricot something that means reduction/sauce, asparagus, and mac and cheese!
My wife's braised beef ravioli was great as well, but this is my review not hers. The place appears a little pretentious when walking by, but put your prejudice and fears aside and come on in for a foodie experience.

We sat outside for lunch one day! Even for a busy day the service was pretty good and I feel like that's hard to come by in orange beach on the busy months. My daughter got the cheese pizza I got the pesto chicken pizza and lasagna. I'd skip out on the lasagna but that pizza was so goood! I am seriously obsessed !!

Amazing scallops!! The best I've ever had! They were so tender and perfectly cooked - not hard, chewy, or overdone! Scallops were on top of a creamy risotto. Practically locked out plates clean! Not a huge mahi mahi fan, but the fish was very tender and juicy!
Reason I can't give it 5 stars was due to poor/slow wait service. We weren't in a rush and enjoyed our time but waiter was a bit absent.

This was one of the best meals I've had in a while! The soup of the day was beef & veg and was amazing! One of the best soups ever! I had the goat cheese & walnut salad and the lime blossom Octavia loose tea and for my meal and they were both excellent! My husband had the special of Mac n cheese with red peppers and onions, arugula, and shrimp. He loved it. The meals come with their warm bread and olive oil dip that has crushed or puréed olives in it. If you like olives you'll like it as well. I happen to love olives! To top it all off we split the strawberry cream cheesecake

We went her for Valentine's Day. Service was fantastic! Our server was funny, friendly, and knowledgeable without being too friendly like some. I got the filet mignon and it was delicious as were the gnocchi. We loved the bread and oil mixture. My husband really enjoyed his surf and turf plate. We didn't care for the calamari as it was not crispy. Biggest issue for me was that this is a beautiful and upscale restaurant, our valentines date (+$150), yet they had TVs on with wrestling and other sporting events. Felt wrong to me. After two more visits, one at bar for drinks and pizza and then last night for a $150 dinner for two we have to leave them in the 3 range which means a-ok in Yelp terms. Maybe a 3.5 overall.
You have to compare this one to other higher end places and this is where the 3-3.5 comes in to play. Just not enough to put them over a 4 for us.
This trip we got oysters Rockefeller, salad with a scallop, stuffed grouper and charcuterie board along with martini, Basil Hayden and glass of Chardonnay.

Wow, where do I even begin!? This was such a delicious meal from start to finish. Our server Jim did a great job describing the delicious options, and providing us with wine service.
We ordered a bottle or Pinot Grigio, really light and crisp. It was a perfect compliment to the meal and I enjoyed it throughout the dinner. We started with a dozen fresh oysters and a dozen charbroiled. The raw oysters were a bit more briny than I prefer but still really fresh. The charbroiled ones were creamy and baked to perfection!

However, it is very expensive. I suggest coming with lots of cash too, as using a credit card results in a 3% charge on your bill.
The reason for the one star is because of our waiter, J., who did not wear his mask the entire time he served our table and the other surrounding tables. Additionally, no one in the open kitchen wore a mask either. It is risky enough for people to be going out in public to restaurants these days, considering we are STILL in the middle of a pandemic.
But this server was one of the only servers who did not take any precautions to serve us food safely
