We can goodyear stitch and can repair almost anything that is thrown at us, often times to a level higher than that of the factory. We also specialize in hand stitched welting, a technique that hardly any other repair shops offer.

Fantastic work done on designer shoes. I drive from Concord to give this place my business.
I have had heels cut down and soles protected and have been pleased with the result on every pair.
The turnaround time is extremely quick. The family that runs this is super friendly.
Note: don't bring your shoes in the boxes; it's cumbersome for this business to store the boxes.

Not inexpensive but well worth it to get my dancing shoes reheeled. Most recently I had my favorite walking shoes resoled. The uppers were fine but I had literally worn out the soles - the steel shanks were visible. Orinda Shoe Service did a fine job and now I don't have to worry about stepping in rainwater or sandy shores.

I drive all the way from the other side of the hill and through the tunnel / bore to come here, so you know why I am happy to give a review.
I have original Hermes shoes and accessories that are over 35 years old and though Hermes can have repaired in France which will take about 9-12 months, I'd rather just come to Orinda Shoe Service. They were able to work on my belts, shoes, slippers, and other goods.
I would give 5 stars except it took a few weeks longer than promised for repair-- I guess they're really busy and backlogged but I called and was told the goods I dropped off would

This is a gem for anyone who cares about maintaining quality shoes. I have found that very few cobblers truly know what they are doing when it comes to good year welted shoes and boots. These cobblers actually know how to do the more difficult technical work. I went in to get two metal toe taps installed on two shoes. They were able to install these flush, meaning there was not space between the leather and the metal. Few cobblers have any idea how to actually do this kind of work. I am pleased that I found this company after searching for a reputable and reliable show repair company. I purchased 2 pairs of Naot dress sandals and as soon as I put them on, I saw that the back/ankle straps were too big. I took both pair to the store and asked the shoemaker to see if he could fix. After trying them on, he meticulously measured and said "no problem". Four days later I returned and was greeted with two pairs of sandals that now fit me perfectly. I also brought in a pair of sandals needing extra holes placed on the straps.

I'm always impressed with Someone who can take something and refurbish it, and make it better than it was when it was new. The owner is very prompt like (48 hours prompt)!!!! and priced right. I am so amazed and impressed with what a wonderful little business this place is. I knew of this place long ago before the days of Yelp and had only come in once or twice to get extra holes punched into the straps of a purse or belt. I never had a big need for shoe repair, but seeing what excellent work they do, I would bring my shoes in in a heartbeat! They can transform worn, weary, beat up shoes into near perfect new-looking ones! Now I want to go through my shoes and purses to see if anything needs repair, they are so reasonable in price and talented in their trade, it is just as good as getting

I had this wonderful women's lace up oxfords that had a small hole, soles needed replacement and the surface refinished. They are about 20 years old. They are my go to shoes for business and personal travel in winter months since they are completely waterproof. Review update after some Chanel flat restorations.
I hated the refinish of my blue flats that I asked what I should do. They decided to clean it up and add a mirror sole. Ok! Believe me, when I saw the finished work, I was amazed.
Fast forward a few weeks and I found some gross, janky, really worn Chanel flats on eBay. I did talk to them prior to me buying and bidding to see if they can restore it. They are professional and do great job. I took 3 pairs of Italian shoes there, two of them were boots and were my favorites. They were comfortable and unique. I wore them so much for so many years that they were falling apart yet I was not ready to let go of them. I thought to give it a shot to have them fixed. I found this amazing place and I am so pleased with the work they did. My dead boots came alive again.
