When you are hurt or are unable to work because of a disability, the first thing you worry about is how you're going to make ends meet. Fortunately, this worry can be alleviated with the help of a good lawyer. The main complaint about attorneys is that they don't communicate with their clients well.
I make communication a priority. When too many people are managing different aspects of your case, things are bound to fall through the cracks. That's why I prefer to be your main contact. I am involved every part of your case from start to finish, to make sure that from the biggest problem to the smallest detail, nothing is missed.

Services
I originally chose the field of law to help with our family's beer business. As a business dealing, with multiple regulations, employment matter, workers compensation claims, and many other legal matters, I decided to go to law school to help them in-house, rather than hiring an attorney who was unfamiliar with the business.
It's a sad reality that some employers knowingly or unknowingly subject their employees to unsafe working conditions. Unfortunately, when this happens, workers can suffer in more ways than one. From life-altering injuries that demand ongoing medical treatment to lost wages, workplace accidents can hurt employees physically, financially, and emotionally.
The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) makes initial decisions to allow or deny all state-fund workers' compensation claims. If the injured worker or employer disagrees with BWC's decision, either party may appeal the decision to the Industrial Commission of Ohio (IC), which resolves the dispute.
Maximum medical improvement (MMI) occurs when your medical condition stabilizes to the point where your physical condition will not change despite continued medical treatment and/or rehabilitation. For example, if you suffer a lower back injury because of an accident and medical treatment hasn't improved it, continued medical treatment will not restore it.
Certain Ohio Worker's Compensation return-to-work programs lessen the financial, emotional, and physical burden for you. In addition, they reduce the employer's workers' compensation costs. The BWC continues to enhance these programs to help keep employees at work or return them to work as quickly as possible.

Harry Bernstein is one of those lawyers you wish you'd been friends with before he became a lawyer. I've heard him present at various events, and he's always educating and explaining the things one can do to either avoid needing his services, or how to minimize the impact on your life when you do need legal services. He truly cares about the people he helps.

I used Mr. Bernstein on two separate instances in matters that could have easily evolved into litigation. In both cases, Mr. Bernstein successfully negotiated settlements at, or near, my expectations and kept the time involved at a minimum. I have referred colleagues and friends to him over the past few years and will continue to use him for legal matters as any need arises. I have come to have complete confidence in his abilities and value his opinions on matters of law.
