Absolutely amazing! From the dining, ambiance, food, service to the wonderful owners coming by and chatting with us, this place is an absolute gem. The food was delicious and the desserts were out of this world. We are a happy family, full bellies and full hearts. If you're in this area, this place is an absolute must!

This is a great place. We in a group of 40+ people. They did a great job of serving everyone together. The staff was friendly and professional. They split the tickets up for each party with out any hassle. The meals were very good and serving size was perfect. I had the toast beef sandwich with onion soup dip. It was great. My wife had mushroom ravioli, she liked it a lot. Someone at our table had the prime rib plate, it was big! The person liked it very much.
You have to make reservations prior to showing up, but it is worth it. Also the railroad dinning cars make a nice setting for dinner.

Going for a little weekend family getaway. This place was more than we expected. The campground and facilities were very clean. The dining car restaurant was fantastic !!! Shout out to the staff that are showing up busting their tails to accommodate those traveling and staying with them. Nothing but smiling faces and great hospitality. Their customer service was impeccable, I called multiple times prior to our arrival asking questions and to change dinner reservations. The people that answered the phone were always pleasant to talk to and work with. Great quiet place nestled back off the interstate

What WHAT? This place is amazing. Such friendly people and the trains are the coolest. We stayed Caboose Number 24 and Baz couldn't get enough of it. I got to go in the hot tub a few times, which made me happy. (The jets are hard to find, so be warned -- they're by the Spa Rules sign, I think.) The wifi is a little slow and the coffee ain't all that. If you're looking for that, throw down some Marriott Points. As for me, you'll find me in Dunsmuir.

The campgrounds are beautiful! The entire resort is very well maintained, had the cleanest camping bathrooms I've ever used. Super easy to find and check in, great location. Kids loved the swings, ping pong table, trains, and pool. Very dog friendly with a dog park. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, was pleasantly surprised and loved our stay here.

Unique restaurant and resort setup around old railroad cars with a view of the Castle Crags.
Have family who live near by that took us to the restaurant to dine in an old rail car.
The restaurant is setup with railroad cars grouped together with similar decor to the original.
We did not have reservations so they accommodated us in a car slightly separate then where most guest were dining. Which gave us our own rail car.
We ordered a variety of meals from soup, salads, crab cakes, pizza to Chicken Marsala.
Everyones meals were tasty and the service was good, meals were delivered in a timely manner

We stayed at the campground this past June, 2021, for 8 days in a tent site and LOVED it! My boyfriend and his family have been camping here for over 20 years and now I understand why. It’s so peaceful, beautiful and comfortable. The staff, although new-ish owners, are friendly and helpful. They are very mindful of the majestic surroundings of nature and are cautious to preserve them. I liked the secluded feeling of the campground yet being close to plenty of amenities, such as clean restrooms, fuel, grocery stores and more. We will definitely being returning to Railroad Park Resort.

Fantastic dining in Siskiyou. Dinner was excellent and cocktails fantastic. The kids menu is not printed, but they do have one. Very cool to dine in an old passenger car!
Reservations are needed and they have limited staff and seating. Improvement in the grounds are excellent and we appreciated the small waiting area outside the entrance with games and limited seating.

We just spent two nights at the Railroad Park Resort in Dunsmuir CA and it was honestly above and beyond our expectations!
The Highlights were:
The staff at the resort were all incredibly friendly and seemed grateful to have us there.
The Caboose itself was perfect, it's pretty rustic and cute, we stayed in 14 which is up to 5 people. We had two adults, two kids (6 and 10) and two dogs( 80lbs and 8 lbs) and it was awesome.
The view of Castle Crags cannot be beat.
The grounds were a winter wonderland, we found areas to sled on resort. My kids had the best time!
The only thing I found

Stayed here last week. It was the last night of our 25 day road trip celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.
Babbs and I used to stay here back when we were dating - 30 years ago. We had such great memories of tent camping by the creek. And their incredible dinners in the rail cars. We wanted to RE-experience Rail Road Campground again.
We had intended on staying here night one, but were delayed, so missed the kick off night. But, we planned for it on the return lap. We drove in from Beaverton, OR after a late lunch. After the 6-hr drive, we arrived before it was too dark so Set up was

Located right off of the 5 freeway. The RV area is just up the road from the Railroad Park area located under a canopy of Trees. Very well shaded. You feel like this is real forest camping.
We had spot 18 which was nice. It was a pull through and It has hookups for water, 30amp power and sewer. We didn't use the cable and the WiFi was subpar. So don't expect to be online too long without getting frustrated of the slow speed.
We got in around 6:30pm on a Thursday evening in mid June and the reservation paperwork was on the pin board for us. No contact with anyone which was nice. I
