MBS Automotive has been family run through 3 generations. Currently run by Bounma Inthavong great-grandson Osa Inthavong., the entire family still remains active with the business. These guys are the best! You will not be disappointed. I took my vehicle in for a complete break job on my 2015 S550 and it was done in accordance to MB standards in a less amount of time and $$$. They also gave me a loner vehicle to use and recommendations on future maintenance items. I'm very satisfied with the service and the hospitality.

So I actually called the shop and left a message before posting my prior review. I waited a day, still no call back. I posted the prior review and within MINUTES my phone was blowing up from MBS. They did in fact refund me hence the update.
As a prospective new regular customer, unfortunately with the lack of communication skills, I have no way to trust them so I can not recommend them either.

I had car issues and didn't know what was the problem. I looked online for an auto shop to take my car to and I stumbled across this hidden gem.
I called to see if they had availability, luckily they had a little spot open late afternoon. I took my car in and a diagnostic was done. The problem was something with my brake actuator. The gentleman I spoke with (I think he was the manager or something) was very thorough with explaining to me what the problem with my car was and gave me options as to what I can do. I told him I'll talk it over with my husband and we can go from there.

Called on a Friday and was able to schedule a pre inspection to purchase a used vehicle. I felt they really cared and wanted to help me make an informed decision. Pointed out some things that was able to help me negotiate a better price on my vehicle. Inspection price was very reasonable and everyone was very professional. If I purchase a vehicle in the San Diego area again I would go there again without hesitation.

Great services. My 2012 4Runner check engine light was on. Tow my vehicle down there. They ran the code and said my engine has a misfire in the engine. I left my vehicle down there for them to fixed.
They done a great job. Engine running great and no more " Check Engine " light on.
The staff there was awesome. They made me feel welcomed there. Overall I'm please with the business.

No lie....AMAZING! I took my vehicle there for some extensive maintenance. Prior to arriving I called for a quote, which blew my socks off compared to the Mercedes Benz dealership. They were very easy to communicate with, sent me photos of the job in progress, & even did a couple tasks for free. They were professional, punctual, & more than fair with pricing. I will bring my Mercedes there for any maintenance I need, unquestioned.

I am so happy I chose to work with the team at MBS Automotive. The reason I say that is their excellent reviews (I can see why) and their focus on german vehicles. I was a first time customer and had a couple other shops in mind for a major repair on my '98 Mercedes E320. When I went in their shop - if there wasn't a BMW, Mercedes or Audi in the bay...it's because they were full !

Went to MBS Automotive to get an estimate for a potential repair on my car. The guy I spoke to gave an honest recommendation even if it meant not using his services. If I had to get something repaired, I would've definitely solicited his services, but thankfully for me I will not need to. With that being said, if you're looking for an honest repairman who won't try to up sell you just for cash, this is the place to be.

These guys are awesome! All around knowledgeable on Mercedes and give you a reasonable price. Most places seem to take advantage and overprice their work. MBS has great customer service and are all around super efficient. Plus they have the cutest little frenchie (shop dog)! I will continue to take my Mercedes here and will refer other people to go here as well!

My "maintenance required" light came on and I immediately wanted to get it checked out. Even though it was a Sunday and they were technically closed, the owner Vatt let me come in, he checked my car out himself, and gave me clear, expert instructions on what was needed. Didn't try to upsell or get me to buy anything - just straightforward and exactly what I needed.

The best auto repair shop for Mercedes-Benz. Took my 2016 Benz to get my services completed. The turn around was quick, great customer service, they explained and walk through on what they have completed & recommendation on my next services. Overall I am a satisfied with the work.

Had my 2013 C300 here for an A service. Vatt was my technician and he was very helpful with everything. Great price for the A service and he even checked out a noise coming from my wheel(and solved the issue) for no extra charge. Great local mechanic not trying to pull a fast one on you. They also gave me a quote for my B service so that I am prepared for my next visit. They also service non-mercedes cars as well so anyone can bring their car here. Would recommend this place to friends.
