I was really beyond happy with this motel. If you're looking for a budget-friendly motel in SLO close to the action, this was great. The second I walked into the room I was shocked by how nice it was considering the low price. Not to mention the guy who runs it was so nice to us.
The only complaints were really small things, like the heater didn't go into the bathroom without opening the bathroom door all the way, and every hour or two the heater would make a loud clanging noise, but it didn't keep us up at night or anything.
All in all, I'd highly recommend this place if you just need somewhere

The beds are comfortable. Sheets and towels were fresh. Very tired room, a lot of old things, especially the chair - it's terrible. The refrigerator was filthy with the rest of other people's food. Everything looks much worse than in the photo. Wi-Fi is bad, I could not connect

I just needed a place to stay for two days when visiting some friends. Sunbeam is a no frills motel with a decent bed and clean rooms. The walls are a little thin but everyone seemed to respect quiet hours after 10 so it wasn't an issue. This place is within walking distance of a bunch of stuff and a cool farmers market that pops up every Thursday nearby. Perfect for what I needed and a good price

I stayed mid-week. Great price. Hotel manager was a sweetheart. It was clean and quiet. I was able to park my car right outside my room. Plenty of outlets. Everything in the room worked perfectly. If I wasn't just passing thru I'd totally stay again.

Great customer service. Some of the best I've experienced. The rooms are a pretty good for the price and the location is also great. Ac a little noisy but did not bother us. Will definitely be back

This place was just an overnight for me as I was passing through. The host was welcoming and check in was easy. The area is quiet and they have cameras in the parking area. There is a Shell station mini-market a few min within walking distance and some eateries in the area. I would definitely stay there again.

Front desk check in was fast and painless. Very nice owner! Rooms were clean and good for the price. Parking is limited, but you can always street park if you have an oversized vehicle. Conveniently located and walkable distance to a few restaurants and coffeeshops.
