Cayucos Motel is a family owned and operated motel located in the town of Cayucos, on California's beautiful central coast. We are on the beach side of Ocean Avenue with direct access to the beach, right across from our lawn area. We strive to make everyone feel welcome, from our courteous staff, ultra clean rooms to the extra special way we treat all of our furry guests.
We want the Cayucos Motel to be your new place to come, relax and go back to a time when everyone was treated like a person not a number! This motel is great! We stayed here for one night over the weekend and it did not disappoint! Very clean, nicely laid out. The best motel stay I have ever had! The ladies at the front are very friendly and care deeply about their establishment and guests.

Services
All of our rooms include: mini fridges, coffee maker, hair dryer, flat screen TV with cable, and free Wi-Fi. Outdoor warm shower and microwave for use in the breezeway. Our outdoor amenities also include a patio area, gas BBQ, Ping Pong Tables, Cement Table with Chess and Checker Board, Fire Pit and lawn area with comfortable chairs with a beautiful view of the ocean as well as tables and chairs.
We have an amazing lawn area for them to play and do other business and even a small fenced in area. For those that love the beach we are only steps away. We have a beach shower with warm water and other areas for larger dogs and even furnish shampoo and towels for cleaning up after that visit to the beach.
Thank you for making me feel so at home. Room #8 felt safe, relaxing and was exactly what I needed to unwind. But most of all, your warm smiles, kindness, and your sweet nature was what made the biggest impact. Thank you for being you and sharing your heart. Visited Cayucos in 2015 for a family wedding; stayed at the Cayucos Motel and it was like being in a dreamland.

Amazing experience at the Cayucos Motel! We were greeted as soon as we got out of my car and they had the cutest bowls waiting on the front desk for my dogs, with treats, toys and even their name painted on them! Very clean room, right on the beach and had a little fenced dog park which my pups loved. My dogs have never been treated so well at any hotel, very glad I decided to stay here this time!

My daughter and I stayed her for 2 nights with our fur baby while vacationing in beautiful Cayucos. Never have I stayed at a place where pets were so graciously welcomed. Initially, we were going to bring our 3 boys, but ended up just bringing one. He was welcomed with a personalized doggie dish and treats. I did call a few days in advance to let them we would only be bringing the one, but to our surprise was welcomed with all 3 bowls. They told us to take them home. How sweet is that?

This motel makes my heart so happy! I have never stayed at a place where my dog was so incredibly welcome! A lot of care and kindness went into this motel; it is the epitome of dog-friendly! They even included a sweet gift with my dog’s name on it! Rooms are clean and comfortable, perfectly located in-between the beach and the shops/restaurants. They have a beach shower and a couple of towels in the room to use for the beach, which is awesome! 5 stars all around and we will definitely be back!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this motel. We received such a warm welcome. You can see they love dogs so much, they go above and beyond. We just stayed a quick one night, but we will definitely be back. Lovely kept up place, everything you need and such a great location. We all thank you, dogs had a great time and so did we.

Fell in love with this place. We have stayed in many different houses, and or motels in Cayucos for the past 7 years and this is our favorite so far. We rented the suite which faces the ocean. The rooms were fairly large and the kitchenette area was airy and bright. It is always nice to have a microwave and fridge. Clean, comfortable and nice friendly people all around. They treat the pets with a gift. Our dogs got bowls with their names on them and gourmet treats. ball and toy in the bowl. We loved it and so did the dogs. The close beach access is not steep and is only steps away from the sand

We stayed for a couple of nights this past week. Absolutely loved it. So cute and charming. The rooms were immaculate with attention to detail. The owner and staff were so accommodating and friendly. We have stayed many places up and down the coast in all price ranges but this is my favorite. Steps from the beach and coffee shop. Hoping for more time off so we can head back soon.

Lovely little spot, everyone the week we went was afraid of the weather ended up being perfect so we had the whole hotel ourselves. The lady that owns the place is a sweet heart and really took care of us even let us book an extra night. Facility is good, the bedrooms could use a little updating but it is completely livable. Awesome they have an outdoor shower to rinse off and rinse your dogs off. It's right next to the beach you can use the walkway and to the stairs be on the sand in about three minutes.

Cute spot, well maintained and quaint. Run by the owner and she's lovely. This is an old style motor court motel with old-school (perhaps dated) but nice, beachy decor. Very clean and well maintained. Lots of care in the presentation and decor. I recommend over all the other motor-court type properties in Cayucos.

This is a cute motel , it's small an little but super cute . Check in time is at 3pm but the owner let us check in at 2 ( really nice) . The beds are comfortable, the room very clean , the shower was really nice . For two people we had lots of room to move around . Owner was really sweet.
This motel is pet friendly , your welcome to bring your dogs here, most motels wouldn't allow that but this one does .
Unfortunately I will not go back , the wall are too thin , I wanted to take a nap before dinner , while I was dosing off , I heard people walking by, talking an doors being slam

Thank you Cayucos Motel for the wonderful weekend. We came here for a wedding. Not only did Cayucos captured our hearts, the hotel was a big addition. Free continental breakfast, clean amenities, friendly front desk, convenient check in and out, etc. Most importantly, the most pet-friendly place I had been.
One only thing is that, the walls are quite thin that we can here what's going on outside, even if someone's on TV. Overall, thank you!

This review is a tad late, but I thought, better late than never. We took a spring weekender and brought our dog. When you travel with a pet you don't have a lot of options. I have to say, this is one of the best places to stay. They are more than pet friendly and our girl was beyond happy with the treats and toy she received upon check-in. The other plus is that the location is so close to the beach. It was nice to check-in and take our girl for a nice beach walk. They also have a continental breakfast, which was better than some of the larger chains we've stayed at. We look forward

I've long thought that Cayucos was the most charming of the Central Coast beach towns and The Cayucos Motel embodies that charm. The owner goes out of the way to add homey touches, from shabby chic decor to real glasses and mugs to super comfy beds and pillows. The breakfast buffet includes fresh berries and nuts, two of my fave healthy breakfast choices. But thumbs down, the incredible way they greeted our dog Bubba was above and beyond anything we've experienced. A hand painted bowl, dog treats and three(3!!!) toys awaited him with a welcome sign. This is a cute well priced motel. I loved the lawn with tables and chairs that overlooked the beach. The staff was very nice and the room was quaint and very clean. The downfall for me was the lack of insulation, I could hear what was going on next door and in front of the room. There are nice tables in front of each room however while in our room we could hear every conversation very well.

Thank you so much Cayucos Motel for our wonderful stay. We were in Cayucos for my brothers wedding and have two puppies - it was so nice to have a place so dog friendly! The staff was friendly, accommodating, and very thoughtful. They have a great little potty area that's fenced in, it's literally steps to the beach where the dogs can go off leash and play in the water and sand (plus a shower for the dogs after with soap and towels for afterwards), and they offer a breakfast with fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, pastries and more. In addition they greet all dogs with a personalized bowl

This is the cutest little motel in Cayucos!! It's doggy friendly, perfect spot to relax, the only motel that has direct access to the beach! Every morning they have a continental breakfast that you can sit outside on tables or andirondack beach chairs and watch the waves! The owner, Karlyne & staff are amazing!! The friendliest people who welcome you like family!! This will be our go to place with or without our doggies!!

It's the easy breezy beach life with a hometown feel. This adorable motel is delightful. Our family has stayed in 3 and 4 star hotels and were weary about going to a motel. We are so glad we took the chance and stayed here.

We stayed here because the Shoreline inn double booked our room. They had just finished re-doing our room the day we checked in and It was really nice!! Very clean, quaint and so cute!! Not to mention pet friendly! And when I say 'pet friendly,' I mean it! They brought us over a bowl for each dog, with their names painted on them, a ball, a stuffed toy and a bunch of treats!! There was a couple pretty flowers on the table and a card welcoming us and the dogs.
We will definitely be back, we really enjoyed it!!
