We offer a wide selection at our Lititz office, and our experienced team of eye care professionals can help you find the right contacts for you. There are many contact lens options available. Your eye care provider will take your lifestyle and vision correction needs into consideration when helping you select the right lenses for your eyes.
In addition to assessing your visual acuity, your eye care provider will test for common eye diseases, assess how your eyes are functioning together, and more. Serious health issues like diabetes and high blood pressure are often first detected during an eye exam. The American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends children have their eyes examined at 6 months old, three years old, at the start of school, and every two years until age 18.
If you need emergency eye care or know someone who does, call now for immediate assistance. If you think you have an emergency, it is best to trust your instinct and get immediate help. If you have chemicals in your eyes, flush your eyes with water for 15 minutes and don't cover the affected eye. If there is a foreign body in the eye, avoid rubbing and try to gently rinse away the debris.
Only your eye doctor can detect eye diseases at an early stage when there is a better chance to develop an effective disease management plan. While glaucoma is considered a progressive eye disease, there are treatments that can slow the progression of the disease. Diabetic retinopathy is the most common type of diabetic eye disease.

Dr. Link went out of his way to help me when I had some strange vision issues. He got me in the chair very quickly and made a thorough examination and explained everything to me. As it turned out, his expertise saved my vision from becoming much worse or lost entirely because of his skilled diagnosis and referral to the best specialist in an urgent manner. If I did not call Dr. Link, I might have suffered much more damage to my eye.

I've been around the Lancaster area in retirement finding a good optician to prescribe and educate me. I use progressive lenses as do most people at my age, and there is a lot to think about to optimize the lens for your eyes. A chain location at Park City who makes lenses on site really didn't have the technology - or at least the optician couldn't explain or find information on the technology - used in their lens manufacturing for progressives. no go! I'm an engineer, I researched the science, how to prescribe, what to measure and which lens types are best suited for needs
