He graduated from Oklahoma University with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and remained an inquisitive, logic-driven thinker throughout his life. He worked in the oil and restaurant industries before settling into a career with the State of Oklahoma Disability.

My brother passed away in Oregon and we had his ashes shipped to us here in Norman. The urn he was in broke during shipment, and the bag he was in tore. I called Arelia at Havenbrook and she was so understanding and helpful. She helped me pick out a new urn and transferred his ashes into a new bag. I appreciate her help so much. It's so great to have people who are kind, understanding, and helpful when you are going through one of life's most difficult processes. Thank You for helping me, I truly appreciate you. Deanna and all the staff at Havenbrook went above and beyond to respect my families wishes as we began the grieving process after loosing our mother. We wanted a non-typical service. I would highly recommend Havenbrook Funeral Home. If you have ever lost a loved one, particularly if it is unexpected, you know it is a very difficult time. Not only do you have to deal with the sadness and go through the grieving process, but you must also make arrangements to say goodbye. Havenbrook and its staff were very compassionate and understanding and took control of making all the arrangements. They were very informative and quickly responded to all our concerns and questions. They were extremely helpful during a tough time for our family.

When my father passed away he had already chosen a place to take care of everything. My family and I are so thankful the place he chose was Havenbrook. Even though he had everything planned they were very attentive to any and all of our families requests. Even when my daughter and granddaughters had requests that they were afraid to ask. Amber assured them it was not a problem and went out of her way after the visitation to meet all of their requests! In the event we need these services again we will definitely be going back to Havenbrook

The service my family received from this funeral home was fantastic. I can't think of enough positive words to describe the entire staff. Thorough. Respectful. Candid. Helpful. Cost conscious. Thoughtful about how the service will go. I was particularly impressed with their continued assistance. Good service after the sale is, unfortunately, rare. Not at Havenbook! We used their in-house chapel and were completely satisfied with how it went. Plenty of seating and an overflow area. Writing a review for a funeral home is weird. You don’t need them til you do. My beloved father recently passed and we chose Havenbrook for his cremation. During Covid. From the moment we walked into their beautiful building we were greeted with compassion, calmness and love. Deana was the person we worked with. She was so respectful of our emotions, she quietly helped us choose an urn. She gave her suggestions when asked and was in the background until needed but was right there always. Havenbrook is so professional and wonderful and went above and beyond to make our arrangements so easy and beautiful during a difficult time. Everyone was so thoughtful, caring and respectful. My brother found Havenbrook through a website search during my father's battle with cancer. He set up a meeting with ease, and we met with an administrator. She explained the process, options, and helped guide us to a decision that suited my father's desires. The meeting was meant for information gathering so we could financially prepared for a funeral, but I'm really glad we planned ahead, as we found out there is a hefty discount for pre-planning
