Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.
Someone you love has died. You are now faced with the difficult, but important, need to mourn. Mourning is the open expression of your thoughts and feelings regarding the death and the person who died. It is an essential part of healing. The following articles provide many practical suggestions to help you move toward healing in your unique grief journey.

I can not say enough for the true compation, patience and professionalism Mike showed us during a difficult time. My uncle passed and I flew in from Pensacola to help my Aunt with all the details. One thing was clear, my Uncle was a retired Navy chief and my Aunt wanted a military funeral. Mike not only helped with a lot of details related to dealing with the VA aspects, at no time did we feel any pressure for the service to be more religious. He was the best of the best! I know my uncle would be proud of the way things were handled.

My mother recently passed away and I can not accurately describe how thankful I am to have met Mike DuBois, the Owner/Funeral director of Eisenhower funeral home in Blanchard, OK . Within 5 minutes of meeting Mike and him educating my sister and I on the difference in casket prices and detail, I knew he was a man of 100% honesty and integrity, that is very rare in any business to find. I was completely shocked that it was so obvious , he did not attempt or try to encourage us to buy the most expensive casket or try to take advantage of our emotions when making the decisions. He lead us every step

I do not have the words to express my gratitude to the funeral Director, Mike, and his staff. To bury my mother, the love of my life, was almost an unbearable event. Mike and his staff went above and beyond to make my mothers funeral planning and the funeral a beautiful experience. Mike is professional, compassionate, accommodating, respectful, and was available at all times day and night. Autumn was responsible for my mother’s presentation. Autumn did a flawless job with my mother. Mom was beautiful. Her makeup and hair were perfect. Her complexion and skin tone were remarkable. I was completely

Beautiful facility. Up front and honest about pricing, no ‘up-selling’.
Hell of a thing to bury your child. There’s no instruction manual, no how-to-guide. Had it not been for Mike, funeral director of Eisenhour Funeral Home, I don't think I would have made it. Without up-selling, he was honest about what was available, what we needed, what we didn’t and why, letting us make our own decisions from there. Whether it was 7am or 9pm he was available. Most importantly, he recognized that we all grieve differently, (Mother, Father, Wife, Siblings, Friends) catering to our personal needs. I
