Tyee Yacht Club

In the spring of 1946, while cruising in the vicinity of Port Madison and Suquamish, one of our members pulled alongside a boat in distress, which turned out to be that of Harold and Lela Hall. While working on the boat to get it underway, the idea was conceived that a family club should be formed by boating people to promote safe boating and participation in recreational and yachting advantages of the Pacific Northwest.

Tyee Yacht Club was founded in 1947 by boaters who felt the need for a yacht club which promoted boating safety, cruising and social activities for the entire family. They also recognized the advantages of participating in the yachting community while enjoying and protecting the vast recreational opportunities offered to the Northwest boater, both power and sail.

NE end of Lake Union just before the freeway bridge. Clubhouse and dock are clearly visible from the water. Approx. 35 min. Guest/Reciprocal moorage is on a first come, first served basis. Guest moorage shares the single linear pier with member moorage. Our Guest Moorage is 65' long on the north side of the pier, furthest out into the lake.

Conveniently located along Lake Union and adjacent to the University of Washington, EVENTIDE Lake Union at Tyee is a contemporary event venue that is luxurious yet affordable. We can accommodate any style of event such as weddings, parties, fundraisers, professional meetings, and seminars.

Clients of the EVENTIDE have access to our spacious banquet room, a bridal suite, fully equipped kitchen, separate and inviting bar area and an outdoor patio with a fireplace that overlooks Lake Union.A spectacular view of Lake Union can be enjoyed from the lovely banquet room and spacious outdoor patio which makes EVENTIDE an ideal venue for your lakeside event.
