I visited Soapbox Laundry on behalf of my boss. Her dryer was broken and needed to use Soapbox to wash/dry her laundry for about a week. When I visited, it looked like any laundry place...used and outdated, nothing special. The facility is large, though, with plenty of washing machines and dryers.
However, my review is solely based on the laundering aspect of it. My boss paid for someone to wash, dry, and fold her laundry. When I went to pick it up, no one was taking care of the piles of laundry that auctioneers were waiting on. My boss' clothes were still in the wash sitting there and I

This is the most expensive place to wash your laundry in Connecticut!!! My regular laundress was busier, so I sent out my usual 2 bags of small throw blankets for laundering. There were about ten little travel throws, the kind you buy at a craft store bin for $2, and one queen sized comforter. I requested a quote from them, which I NEVER received. They just picked up the bag, took all week to wash and return it, and then sent me an invoice for almost two hundred and twenty dollars. The blankets cost me less than $50 total to purchase new. I tried communicating with them via email, but never received

This place is not friendly at all. The big women that there was so obnonoius and she happened to be in charge happened to be nice to other people but not to me. She a very heavy women and has a bad bed side manner. As soon she found out I didn't I did not speak English however I do understand it. She was rude to me. If I could this place no stars I woudl. i would not refer this place to anyone there

I stopped in because I had a couple of large, bulky comforters which did not fit at my home dryer and washer. Luckily at this laundromat they had several machines which would accommodate my needs. I suggest you bring your own entertainment because all they have is a tiny tv which is programmed to local news. About 30 minutes is more than enough; glad I brought my own book. If you get hungry while there you have plenty of dining options, even a liquor store if you need it.

One and only time I will use this place. $73 to wash 4 pillows, 1 comforter and sheets. I dropped off my laundry at 3:15 and the attendant said it would be ready the next day. I pointed out the sign says same day service and they are open for another 7 1/2 hours. She said I could come back at 10pm. I asked her to call if they were done earlier. I went in at 9pm to see if they were done. She had them bagged already so I brought my items home. I then realized the pillows were still damp. I brought them back and asked her to dry them again and I'd be back in an hour. When I returned, the bag

I gave this place THREE chances....
the first time, it overcharged my debit card (the machines take credit cards) and it took me about 20 minutes to explain to the employee that was there and didn't speak a word of English that one of my machines didn't even have water running in it. She got me a new machine for no charge, but I never got my money back for the machines that overcharged me.
the 2nd time, I came with cash, which on that day was a big mistake. All the machines were full. One of the ladies working there had to help me shove my quarters into the washers, which took about
