I settled my mom here a year and a half ago after she was no longer able to live completely independently. The staff is extraordinarily caring and attentive, the setting is inviting, and the rooms are clean, bright and comfortable -- allowing each resident to decorate and furnish as they are comfortable with. Mealtimes are communal and extended family is always made to feel welcome, with facilities to join a parent or a friend at a private table for a get-together at mealtime.

Sonjia the lady that runs the el cerrito royal along with this keisha are storytellers im the only son thats close enough to get my mothers medicine and personal wear but she barred me from coming their because of these words it probably was you that sent my bank of america mail back she says anything with your name on it goes back so i said so it was you at this point we were about 40 feet away from one another to make a long story longer she tells sonjia i raised my voice at her more so then if were face to face but only the part where i said so it was you we now about 40 feet away from one

We had the amazing good fortune to find Moraga Royale when my mother could no longer live at home. My sisters and I can't say enough about what a lovely, happy place it is. The meals are wonderful, the rooms and gardens beautiful and there is a wide variety of engaging activities. Mom loved it being there. Most of all, the staff is incredible. They were there for her and for us in every way; honestly caring that these years were warm and happy ones for those who live there. We are so grateful. Lindy Delf

This place is the absolute best assisted living that we could have ever wanted for my dad. My dad was at Moraga Royale for the last 18 months of his life and the staff there made it the best experience ever for him and our family!!! They were like family to us. We looked forward to seeing the staff every time we visited my dad. Loto the assistant executive director treated my mom like a best friend not a client. The caregivers were saints and gave my dad exceptional care!!! We can not thank them enough for taking such great care of my dad. The culture is so positive and it is not run like

There so much that I want to say about this assisted living facility, but I just want to get this review up now while I'm here for my second visit.
I've been to a number of care facilities and this is the first one that I feel very very comfortable visiting. The grounds are clean and beautifully landscaped and designed, the inside is clean and not smelly, the staff is really relaxed and friendly.
And it's very close to some great hiking trails near Canyon and Redwood Road. So after a visit to one of the 94-year-old residents who I'm looking after, I can head out into the beautiful

I've had multiple clients as residents at Moraga Royale and it's sister community El Cerrito Royale and cannot recommend both of these communities enough. Diane and her care team In Moraga and Sonia and her care team in El Cerrito are the best! The stable staff and low turnover really contribute to great care whether with independent, assisted living, or memory care residents. The buildings look and feel like home due to the lovely decorating throughout the buildings. And if a person starts having behavioural issues as many folks with dementia do, the Royale staffers work with you

I had my mother in the facility for about two and a half years until she died of Alzheimer's. Diane runs the facility and Connie is her assistant. I was very happy with the level of care my mother got. She started out in independent living then had too be moved to memory care unit.
No facility will meet all your expectations all the time, but the staff at Moraga Royale is excellent! They offer a number of social programs and the staff really cares about the residence.
