My wife and I have stayed here many times over the past 10 years. We drove 4 hrs on Jan 2nd to have a short get away. The town and hotel was completely empty . When we entered the lobby we were told we needed to ware a mask. I am a adult and was raised a free Am. We left and went across the bay and stayed there, They treated us as free Americans . Will never stay at Hotel Blue again.

Super cute small hotel. Quiet and peaceful with large spacious rooms that have a fireplace.
Very close to the beach and the main street of Lewes (walking distance). The pool is a bit misleading as it's only 3 1/2 feet deep and the sauna is closed right now due to covid but other than that it's all positives for this hotel.
Extra thanks to the owners for going above and beyond and allowing us to cancel our third night when we found out my dad was discharged from Bebe Hospital and we no longer needed the room♡

I did not stay. Ordered a room thru Expedia with a clear understanding that I had until Aug 29th at 6:00 pm to cancel. Because IDA was coming our way, I decided it safest not to travel, and canceled at 10:00 AM on Aug 29th. Apparently the Hotel honors the reservations thru Expedia, but not the cancellations and refused my refund. Very disappointed in this practice.

Such a fantastic place to stay while in Lewes. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is eclectic and fun. The rooms are very nice and the cleanest I’ve ever seen. All of the property is very well maintained and the pool is great. The location is top-notch. Walk to the shops and to the beach. Rent a bike right next door and ride all over Lewes.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is super clean (I'm not sure how they get their bathroom floors so darn sparkling white!). The lobby was nicely decorated for the holidays. The rooms were spotless and pristine. The hotel is walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Lewes. Best of all, they were so flexible with our reservations. We had an emergency occur the day of our scheduled arrival and they let us reschedule with no penalty. We will definitely go back.

My husband and I just spent a very enjoyable weekend at Hotel Blue. The hotel is in a perfect location for walking into town to shop or eat, or to walk to the beach (when it isnt July hot). Everything was very clean--much appreciated in these COVID times. And very quiet! I loved being able to recline on the bed and look out the windows at the canal and town. If I had one complaint, the tv had some weird distortion going on with the picture that made watching opening weekend of baseball rather difficult. Also, be prepared for the daily 7 am wake up call/horn from the departing fishing boat tour

Awesome stay. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Fresh fruit and coffees available 24 hours. Contemporary hotel very clean with lots of extras. Including light up ice bucket complete with remote to change colors, lovely rooftop pool, in room fireplace. Close to Cape Henlopen State Park and all downtown Lewes has to offer. Walk to amazing restaurants and shops.

Overall, great little boutique hotel in lewes. The hotel is convenient to the beach as well as the main downtown street with all the restaurants. Our room had a balcony that faced fisherman's pier. I was a little worried that there would be a lot of commotion and I could hear everything, but I couldn't hear a thing!
Staff was very friendly when we checked in. It's not a big building so if you need something, there is always someone there to help.
The beach was about a 10 minute walk, the street with all the restaurants was about a 5 minute walk.

Nice hotel. Rooms are a nice size & clean. Walking distance to the shops & restaurants.The reason I am giving it 3 stars is that the room temperature runs on the warm side. They have the thermostat only be able to be set to 68 degrees & it doesn't do a good job of keeping the room cool especially when It is hot outside. I would recommend that they have fans in the room to make sleeping more comfortable.

Perfect for a weekend getaway. Park your car and forget it, you can walk to either "town" or the beach. The room was great, I went off season so Pool was closed, but the Sauna was fantastic. The hotel is right by the harbor, you might hear fishing boats, but that's all part of the charm. Free high end coffee, fresh fruit, knowledgeable and friendly front desk, well done indeed!

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Hotel Blue. Jim and the nice lady at the front desk were very helpful, the fruit and coffee in the lobby were awesome, and the room was outstanding. The location was fantastic, walking distance to most of Lewes and the room was comfortable, clean, and nice appointed. The sunset from the tower suite was awesome! Thank you Hotel Blue for a great Lewes week experience!

I really think this is my favorite hotel. The staff is friendly and the rooms are great. Nicely appointed with a bed, comfy chair and TV. Most rooms have a balcony you can sit out on comfortably. There is also a working fireplace and a huge bathroom.
The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar but each room has a small fridge and a micro wave and it really doesn't matter. The location is wonderful. Just across the street or just over the bridge were numerous places to get food, all within walking distance.

What an awesome experience. This place is so unassuming. Very welcoming. Super convenient and the gentlemen at the desk (I think his name was Stephen) was so helpful and friendly. Hotel Blue is small - I think maybe 9 rooms? But it's HUGE when it comes to amenities. Highly recommend this location. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. Very close to beautiful beach too.

Wow, my husband and I spent a night at Hotel Blue for a wedding anniversary and it surpassed all of our expectations. The room was impeccably clean, and all the furniture stylish and pleasing. The bed was very comfortable, and the room/bathroom were spacious. The gas fireplace made the room nice and toasty. There were two flat-screen televisions, one facing the couch, and a smaller one facing the bed. I really got the feeling that a lot of love went into this hotel. Very clean and zero noise. Small hotel and not commercialized. Fresh fruit available in a basket in the lobby was a nice treat. Location is great for all the things you want to do in Lewes. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was nice, only complaint was the sinks did not drain properly and shower could have greater water flow.

Went for two nights a warm President weekend. Very impressed. Big, spacious cool room with blue sinks! Lovely small hotel. Our first visit to Lewes and we will return to Hotel Blue. Big suite. Highly recommend if you like a modern vibe clean and nice smaller hotel.

Nice stay for our anniversary getaway. Hotel Blue is tucked away from all of the traffic which is awesome. There's so much to do nearby and it's all accessible with a short walk! This is one of our favorite places now! The room was clean and nicely decorated. Nice views of the canal and the bay, which is about two city blocks away. It's not kid-friendly but it was nice to be away from it all! The staff was very helpful and resolved issues quickly. We will definitely be back!

I gave a weekend stay at hotel blue as a gift to a couple family members. Hotel blue gave them complimentary champagne just because I was so nice on the phone while making their reservation. They loved their stay at hotel blue... fireplace, lush pond on deck, comfortable bed, and excellent service. What's not to love?

This past spring I surprised my husband with a birthday getaway to Dogfish Head Brewery. I booked Hotel Blue based on Yelp and Trip Advisor reviews as it was nearby, upscale, and did not allow children from what I gathered (it was our first weekend away from our son born last Fall and not hearing small children in the hotel was just perfect).
Hotel Blue is a neat little place off the beaten path from "downtown" Lewis. It is contemporary and comfortable. The beds were great, the room has a fridge (I always have leftovers from dinner) and the bathroom was large. The bathroom fixtures

My wife and I stayed here a few weeks ago, while on a trip to the Dogfish Head Brewery. Great place, clean rooms, very modern looking, a flat screen and fireplace in the room, a balcony (yeah, overlooking the parking lot, but you could see the wharf from there), and a very comfy bed. Great amenities, close to a lot of attractions, a very nice stay.
My one negative? Crappy wireless service, it kept cutting out every couple of minutes, and there wasn't that many people in the hotel. They fix this issue, it's easily a 5 star place.
