I've had three eye exams over the past few years with Dr. Grinstead. She is always very thorough and professional, and makes sure I know everything about what condition my eyes are in, what my prescription options are, etc. Everyone in the office is always friendly and professional, as well. The office does not accept any insurance, but I find the cost to be exceptionally reasonable considering what you get, especially since my insurance does not cover eyes and teeth. Seriously, why do most health care plans not cover eyes and teeth? It's weird when you think about it. I'm sure Dr. Nicholson's

I went to another doctor for an eye exam 2 weeks before my appointment with Dr. Nicholson. I wasn't happy/confident with the results at my previous appointment, so I decided to give Dr. Nicholson a shot. And I'm thankful that I did. He gave me a much more comprehensive examination than the other optometrist I went to and he was very friendly and courteous throughout the whole process. He gave me better suggestions about my overall eye health that I did not receive before and I am very grateful for that. I will only go to Dr. Nicholson for my eye needs from now on. Highly recommended.

I was 15 min late to an appointment which I thought I was actually 15.min early too.
Stood for several minutes watching people in office chit chat with each other. When they finally came to the door I was told or you missed your appointment we can reschedule you for next week! I asked to ask the doctor if possible I'll even wait to have me fit in. She wouldn't even ask. Not sure why Costco has them their when they do not have Costco like customer service! Just my opinion

I LOVE THIS GUY. When is the last time you had any medical appointment where the physician was friendly and you didn't feel rushed? Can't remember can you. Well, Dr. Philip as I call him is a nice guy who understands that part of your experience is how you are treated. He doesn't take my insurance (think I can get reimbursed) and he isn't even on my way home, but feeling like I was treated with kindess along with getting sound medical advice -- it works everytime. Really, this guy is great. Hands-down.

Dr. Philip Nicholson is a treasure of both providing excellent eye exams, but also being able to diagnose those exams. If he finds significant deterioration of eye health, he can recommend the very best doctors to diagnose and treat those problems. His recommendations led from my having severely reduced vision, to 20/20 in both eyes; due to cataract surgery. It was his evaluation/recommendation that led to this dramatic recovery of my vision.

Tough to rate. I would give the actual eye exam 5 stars. I felt it was very thorough and complete. Excellent care from the doctor. The reason for a less than five star rating is for the other customer services type of things. The first text message to fill out paper work had an incorrect link in it. I showed up on time for my appt. but they were running about a 1/2 hour behind schedule. I was given a call to say that I would get an email to confirm my appt, but never got the email.

I was referred to Dr Nicholson by a friend who talked with me about our mutual troubles getting adequate vision correction. She was happy with the care she had from Dr Nicholson and encouraged me to see him. Dr Nicholson was thorough in history and examination and wrote for glasses with the best correction I've had in a long time. He also found elevated eye pressure and referred me to ophthalmology. When I told him I would not likely go he spent extra time explaining and encouraging me to go without being overbearing and even referred me to an ophthalmologist who he though I could work with. I

Dr. Nicholson has been my optometrist for the past several years and from my first visit to my last, he has impressed me with his attention to detail and quality of service. I have never had an optometrist create a perfect contact lens fit for me given my history of seasonal allergies and dry eyes. On top of that, I wanted monovision lenses prescribed at a level that would maximize my near and far vision with little compromise. Did he do all this? YES! I have since moved out of state and no longer am able to see Dr. Nicholson but I would recommend him above any other optometrist in the area
