With over 36 years of experience in the field, Dr. Glasser is at the forefront of technology. Dr. Glasser is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia and completed his undergraduate studies at the Ohio State University.

Most of these tests are performed during your visit. Until recently, our best method to determine the health of the back of the eye, the retina, was to view it directly through the use of dilating drops that took hours to reverse, and written notes. Now, with the advances made in both computer imagery and ocular diagnosis, we are proud to offer the Optomap Retinal Exam.
No two people work the same or play the same. Recognizing these variations is the difference between an optometrist that tests to see an eye chart and one that truly evaluates the needs of the patient. D.C. area residents work long hours and have jobs that constantly put a strain on their eyes and affect their overall visual health.
How does Dr. Glasser's office care differ from those of commercial stores that sell glasses, contacts, and give eye exams? Dr. Glasser believes that his primary purpose is to determine the health of the eyes, treat the shortcomings in his patient's vision, and ensure that the individual is seeing to his or her greatest potential.

Always a great experience with Dr. Glasser and his staff!! Dr. Glasser is very knowledgeable, which is very assuring when you can’t quite always put into words what your problem is. The staff is kind and friendly. The office has great eyeglass selections. I definitely recommend Dr. Glasser and his staff!

I’ve been getting eye exams for over the years with Dr. Stephen Glasser. He and his staff are amazing. Great location and pleasant new office. The new office location is close to the Farragut West metro station. He has always been enduring to listen and consider about my health profile. Their expertise and knowledge are outstanding. Went to Dr. Glasser for my first eye exam in ~10 years. It was super quick and thorough, and both the staff members and Dr. Glasser himself were really knowledgeable and nice. In fact, Dr. Glasser answered all my random questions about what he was doing, what it meant for my eyes, how I could change my work habits, etc. This is how every doctor should be!

Dr. Glasser and his staff are excellent! Service is quick and fun and there is a good selection of frames. You get your glasses in about a week. I worked with Kisha who offered me a selection of frames based on my face shape, coloring and preference that were perfect. I didn't have to try on every frame in the office and I got what I wanted. It was a great experience. Make Dr. Glasser your go-to eye guy!

I've been a patient of Dr. Glasser for twenty years. When you stay this long with any health care professional you know that the client - practitioner relationship is a good one. Dr. Glasser is always friendly and fun .... and everyone who works in this office suite has been there a while .... an indication that everyone works well together. My cats are aging and I think it's time to make an appointment for an eye check up!!

Dr. Glasser is excellent. I lived in London for almost four years and twice went to highly recommended, private optometrists with less than satisfactory results- in comparison to the preciseness of my prescription from Dr. Glasser.
After those experiences, I planned my visits to DC to include my appointments with Dr. Glasser. He is professional, personal and precise.
