Unreliable and terrible customer service.
Last year they gave me an absurdly wrong pair of glasses and it took repeated visits to finally get it right. But they are convenient so I gave them another try. Bad idea.
The new optician urged me to talk with him before booking a cataract surgeon, so I called and left a message. Called again and spoke to someone. Another week went buy. Called again and was told "sorry, we've been busy" and I was apparently a low priority.
Promised to call me back later that day. No call. The indifferent Asst. Manager seems clueless about customer service.

I've been seeing Dr. Adair for 21 years. My children did also until they have moved away. He has always given the best exam whether for contacts or glasses. As I've grown older, there are other concerns of aging and I feel confident he can diagnose any aging conditions. He has advanced imaging technology to examine the retina and vitreous of the eye. The staff is friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. I keep coming back!

I brought my son to the Leesburg location for a contact lens fitting. After the exam, the associate was very aggressive with trying to get me to spend $600 on contact lenses. Thank goodness I resisted and took my prescription to Walmart where I got the same contacts and saved over $100. Be prepared for high pressure sales tactics at this location; consider going someplace else.

I called in for an appointment, a woman named Tina answered the phone. I requested an appointment for the first date/time available next week. She was extremely short told me they are open "monday through friday." I requested the actual date and time that the doctor would be earliest available. She signed loudly on the phone and said "I'm so confused. I think I'm helping you.. I'm telling you that we are open Monday through Friday.. So what day you trying to come in??" Dr. O is great! She's professional and clearly skilled. She takes enough time during my visit to answer my questions and even explain things I didn't ask.
The staff are kind and helpful during check in and check out. Always take care of the insurance questions, offer rebates when applicable and are friendly.

The worst experience ever. I called a day before the appointment. I provided my insurance ID number and my last four social security digits. They were able to pull up my account, so we set up the appointment. the following day, I received a text message with visit time. When I showed up, the asked for my last four digits and my insurance card. This time they said they couldn't pull up my account. I asked why they had been able to pull it up the day before. I have been to this location several times. I love Dr Adair. He spent time with my daughter reviewing her retina scan to help her identify the nerves and other parts of the anatomy (she's in a PA program). The office staff, especially Samantha was very knowledgeable and knew the details of our insurance. She helped my husband pick out glasses and made several good recommendations. He is usually hard to convince to spend money but she convinced him (it was needed, he is hard on glasses, and only gets glasses every 4-5 years.) Everyone was masked and keeping distance.

Great friendly and professional staff. They took time to disinfect all the equipment they used on me. Very COVID aware. it was a great experience. Dr. Adair was friendly and professional too. He gave me a new prescription for reading glasses and said my distance was great. I would recommend New Era Eye Care to anyone.

The regional manager, Samanthajo, at the Clifton location is racist and rude!
Will never come to this location ever again!
Before seeing the Dr. I was asked if I wanted a contact lens fitting that was an additional $115 and I said no.
After both daughters saw the Dr, I went to pay the $79 eye exam for each. I noticed they still included the $115 for the contact lens "fitting" that I said I wasn't interested in. When the regional manager saw that I was questioning the fee she rudely came and told me to have my daughter remove the trial pair lenses from her eyes and asked us

As a fair review, I’ll give 2 stars because I’ve previously had a better experience here. I have been a patient at New Era Eyecare for the last year, but I will no longer work with this establishment. I gave them a try and had satisfactory service in 2020, but my experience in 2021 has been less than desirable.

The doctors are professional and the staff are excellent. Genesis was able to get me a 1 year supply of contacts, rayban composite frames and a price match for 1-800contacts. Even better you can use your care credit and financing for 0% here. Best eye exam and purchasing experience in town, you won’t be disappointed.

There was a sign on the door stating that they will limit to 2 patients inside and masks are required. However, they did not enforce this. I was inside with three other patients and all three did not have masks on! The staff had masks on, but they should enforce COVID-19 policies for the safety and comfort of others.
Overall, I did not have a pleasant experience. I was a new patient and they were short with me when explaining an issue with my appointment.

I hadn't gone to an eye doctor in years but New Era Eyecare is super convenient to my work location, it takes many kinds of insurance, & the scheduling process was quick & easy. You arrive to fill out a mere 3 pages of details, the exam takes maybe 20 minutes + another 5 for the standard machine tests, & the billing/post-exam details last maybe another 10 minutes. Each stage was efficient, professional, & detailed (I asked a lot of questions).
Would I go again? Yes, I had a wholly positive experience throughout.
Would I buy glasses from them? Maybe, it's unclear how their prices compare to online

Staffs and doctor are really great! They're very accommodating of our schedule and we didn't have to wait at all when my husband I went in for our eye appointments. The doctor is very informative on everything you need to knows about your vision. Also, the office is clean. A great place to go for eye exams.

My daughter comes back from college ever so often and we have tried this place for the first time. A few months back she went there as a first time customer, for her frames and lenses filled, turns out the prescription was weaker than what it was, she had to revert back to her old glasses. Had to wait for the holidays since she is away for college. Made this appointment 1 month ahead of time (if not more advance), shows up on time and the Dr. ends up taking a different patient ahead of her, resulting to her appointment being pushed back for no apparent reason. I've worn glasses for 20 years now and contacts for 15 - and I've been to the eye doctor pretty much EVERY year to update my prescription. I also have an eye condition that requires yearly check-ups. I have exceptionally high expectations for eye care. I am pretty unimpressed by the service and care received here.

After multiple years and multiple optometrists (3 different offices over 10 years time), I finally found THE ONE! I have known for almost 10 years I have a slight astigmatism, and have not been satisfied every year I get a new prescription, new glasses and new contacts. It is always slightly blurry because the other eye doctors I went to took short cuts and lazy ways of prescribing the same prescription for both eyes, or not addressing or testing my astigmatism.
