Good students have better eye sight - period. When our kids are seeing, they're learning. According to the American Optometric Association (AOA), as much as 80 percent of learning is visual. The name "dry eye" can be a little confusing since one of the most common symptoms is excessive watering! However, the eye makes two different types of tears. The first type, called lubricating tears, is produced slowly and steadily throughout the day. Lubricating tears contain a precise balance of mucous, water, oil, nutrient proteins, and antibodies that nourish and protect the front surface of the eye.

An eye emergency is any event where your eyesight is at risk. These events require prompt treatment in order to prevent vision loss. We are fully equipped to provide similar medical services to a walk-in clinic or hospital emergency room. Eyes are sensitive organs, and in the event of an emergency, it is always better to be safe than sorry.

This was the most pleasant, least stressful eye exam I have ever had. Nice doctor, lovely staff, clean, efficient, top-notch equipment and measurements, clear explanations, did not try to sell me anything I didn't need, and offered copies and explanations of the outcomes. For starters the office was clean and organized. The staff were punctual with the schedule, polite, knowledgeable and able to answer several questions before the consultation with the the Doctor even began. Dr. Louis A. Espejo takes the time to explain everything about your exam results, asks if you have any questions and provides in depth responses. He doesn't talk over you and truly makes an effort to provide you with a confident understanding of your prescription before you leave. Dr. Espejo was willing to see me during the Covid-19 crisis, after I struggled with eye problems for a month and had not found another eye doctor willing to see me. He diagnosed my problem and suggested the least-impact treatment to start with - I like that orientation. He also explained very well what was happening to my eyes and how the treatments would address the problem. Thank you, Dr. Espejo!

Arguably the best team of eye care specialists in my opinion. I have had dry eye irritation for quite long (3 years to be exact) but thanks to Dr. Espejo. He is skillful, wise, talented, humble, and I think a great motivator. My dry eye issue is gone for good and ECB has been very economical with the whole treatment.
