Masthead Cove Yacht Club was founded in 1975, by and for Huntington-area sailing families of all levels of ability. Our club supports an active schedule of cruising, racing, social and community service events throughout the entire year. MCYC maintains club moorings in Lloyd Harbor, Oyster Bay Cove and Port Jefferson.
The club's credo is very simple. Enjoy your sailing experiences in the good company of other sailors and have fun doing it. OneSails produces sails designed and developed especially to suit the needs of discerning owners. Willis Marine Center is a full service yachting facility located at the head of Huntington Harbor.

Services
It all started in Coneys yard, the main one at New York Avenue in the very early spring of 1975. As you all know, between sanding, painting and polishing, sailors like to talk, talk, and talk some more. Guys like Ed Jacob, myself [Jerry] and sailors you may never have heard of like Joe Spalone, George Albright, Bob Goldberg, Ira Futterman and Harry Zirkel.
The Cruise Committee is committed to providing opportunities for everyone in the club to take part in events on the water throughout the summer. We realize that cruising means different things to each of us. It is often a combination of the sailing, the socializing, large club events, and new places or experiences.
The Masthead Race is an annual race to raise money for cancer research. It is held in August in the Huntington Bay area. Members of the Masthead Cove Yacht Club have raised over $68,000 since it was started in 2006 in memory of MCYC's former Commodore, Carol Marcincuk. Carol was an avid sailor and a beloved employee of CSHL who died of ovarian cancer in 2004.
Boys & Buoys/Gals & Gales, an MCYC group that meets on the last Tuesday of the month. All members and friends/family are invited to gather to share their boating ideas, camaraderie and hear speakers on marine topics from sail maintenance, to caring for the cushions on your boat, to galley recipes, to engine tinkering and more.
