Happy Time Nursery School is located in Rancho Santa Fe. We limit our program to 25 students and offer a variety of developmental and social skills. We teach listening and speaking skills, preliminary reading and writing skills as well as preliminary math skills. Our unique program is play based and allows your child to discover colors, shapes, numbers, the alphabet, music appreciation with piano, painting, Spanish and storytelling.

Services
Our founder, Mary Ann Tessary, created the most unique and magical preschool in San Diego. Mary Ann Tessary moved to Rancho Santa Fe when she was six months old and her destiny was decided just a few months later when she received her first Welsh Mountain Pony. Her love of riding was matched only by her love for children.
We offer a wide range of enriching activities to meet the individual needs of your child, including pony riding lessons on our Welsh Mountain Ponies, dancing, singing, music, gymnastics, Spanish, storytelling, art, daily high tea (a unique approach to learning etiquette), free play, learning letters, numbers, shape recognition and much more.

My daughter has been attending Happy Time for over two years. She started at two and has loved every minute. The staff is professional and loving and the facilities are clean and welcoming. My daughter spends the day riding horses, doing gymnastics and art, playing in the garden, feeding chickens and learning to read and write. There is a lot of play and social interaction, and they are outside for most of the day. I have nothing but positive things to say about this school!

I adore this school and the amazing Director MaryAnne. I have my second child, graduating from Happy Time soon and after many years I am going to miss everything about it. My children have benefitted from programs, extras and love that no other program in the area has been able to compete with. From horsebacking riding, gardening, spanish lessons, academics and specialized art classes to high tea, manners, respect for each other and self love, I have been so pleased with this school I can't imagine sending my kids anywhere else. My current kindergartner entered Solana Santa Fe meeting or exceeding

Happy Time Nursery School delivers on the promise of an idyllic childhood learning experience, complete with pony rides, music, gymnastics, play time, garden time, harvesting eggs from chickens, one-on-one academic time, and much, much more. Happy Time was the best all around experience my daughter, and for that matter, my family, could have ever had. My daughter started at Happy Time when she was two and a half, and left for kindergarten this fall. We consider Mary Ann(Big Teacher) and the staff at Happy Time like family, and my daughter cannot wait to have a day off kindergarten so she can return to Happy Time to be a "Teachers's assistant"
