Our mission at Growing Seeds CDC is to provide exemplary social, cognitive, physical, and creative early childhood experiences for all children. Our staff offers a model program tailored to ensure the quality of each child's daily experiences while building a foundation for future learning. We include a variety of families and are delighted to have children of varying ages and abilities.
Our goal is to create a home/school partnership where parents and teachers work together to support children's learning. Also, throughout the whole learning process we believe parents are their child's first teacher; thus, we work to support parents in their efforts to guide their child's development as well.

The curriculum at Growing Seeds is based on the philosophy that children learn through day-to-day experiences. Play is an important preparation step to learning highly abstract symbols such as letters and numbers. Our curriculum is based on Teaching Strategy's "Creative Curriculum" which is aligned with the Connecticut Framework for Pre-School.
Children who attend the part time or full time days need to bring their lunch. All lunch items must be labeled. Lunches should be nutritious (i.e., fruits, vegetables, milk) containing little or no sugar and a protein source like yogurt, cheese, egg or meat and bread. No facilities exist for refrigeration of lunch boxes; therefore, parents must place an ice pack in the lunch box as per Health Department regulations.
It is the policy of Growing Seeds to offer a School Readiness and Child Daycare Contract (CDC) Slots on a first-come first-serve basis. These subsidies are offered by the State of Connecticut. Family income and size must be determined at the time of initial enrollment and six months thereafter. The family fee is calculated from this determination and reviewed with the parents.
