I was unlucky enough to be injured in a four-car chain accident a little over three years ago. Since I was the lead vehicle and did not strike anyone in front of me, no one tried to blame me or the driver of the vehicle immediately behind me, but the other drivers and their insurance companies were adamant that each of their clients was not at fault! I truly believe they were hoping that I would just go away, but surgery and extensive rehabilitation were required to return my shoulder to a semblance of functionality, and no one - including my own insurance company - seemed to care.
