I am the son of an ironworker and have over 30 years of engineering and construction experience. I live with my wife, Susan, and daughter, Hannah, in Madison, AL where we serve as church musicians. I have extensive experience inspecting in Huntsville, Madison, Athens, Decatur, Fayetteville, and Ardmore, as well as properties in rural areas.

Todd is OUTSTANDING!! He was recommended to me as the only home inspector to consider when purchasing a new home. He was able to fit me in to his schedule and came out to the home I am purchasing on the same day I called for an appointment. He was INCREDIBLY thorough in his inspection and photographed every area of concern and filled me in following his inspection. He also provided me with a very detailed report and recommendations! Todd Thuss should charge more for the incredible work he does. We’ve done a lot of real estate deals in our time and our experience with Todd was outstanding. Todd was very responsive, did a thorough inspection of a home and got us a fair price reduction for needed repairs. Todd is an expert in his field. He was able to provide a full inspection report the very evening that he performed the 4+ hour inspection. Todd was absolutely amazing! Honestly, you're not going to find a better home inspector. He's an engineer, OCD, and will definitely find everything you need to address when buying or selling a home. We are looking to buy and he did a very thorough job and was super friendly! He also does Radon testing. That costs a little extra and 48 hours to complete, but it's worth the piece of mind.

From start to finish amazing job and Todd is someone you can trust. Within minutes of reaching out Todd called me. To be honest I was talking to three other companies. Wow, what an awesome service! I'm very impressed by the quality of detail provided in Todd's report. The report he provides is unlike any other home inspection service I have ever seen or heard of. He found several major problems that would have certainly never been discovered until they became a total catastrophe. The report was full of tons of photos and references. Also he provided personally narrated videos describing the most critical problems, while recommending the most cost-effective solutions or fixes.
