With over 40 years of home building experience, and multiple certifications and licenses, Sheila & Tommy Marr founded Southern Valley Services in 2011 to provide Energy Star Certification services for local builders. In 2012 services were expanded to provide energy auditing services to home owners in our region to help them discover ways to improve the comfort, health and energy efficiency of their homes.
The new home industry has been consistently changing over the years. Comfort, Health, and Energy usage have been on the drawing board and under the microscope in labs across the country. Energy Codes have been modified every 3 years in efforts to make homes as efficient as possible. These codes are validated through inspections and diagnostic testing by companies like ours.
Southern Valley Services offers HERS Ratings (Home Energy Rating System Ratings) throughout our region. A Home Energy Rating is a requirement for many green building programs and can be used to meet energy code compliance requirements and is the nation's leading "miles-per-gallon" equivalent for homes.

But in today's market most site supervisors are busy managing the scheduling of their tradesmen and providing the right amount of materials for the job. Tommy at Southern Valley Services did an outstanding job!!! He was extremely helpful and tenatiten to my needs and made sure to have the job done in a timely manner. Updated me on regular basis with the repairs and answered all my questions with the at most respect. I highly recommend this crew for any home inspections, radon testing/ midigation system installments, home repairs, etc. Also is very reasonable with prices. Does his best to beat the competition.
