I've been getting sandwiches here for almost 20 years and they are still delicious. The specialty sandwiches are named for area landmarks and feature tasty and unique flavor combinations. The Avanel is my favorite - turkey, cheddar, Russian dressing, and coleslaw on a French roll. If you work up a hunger on the river or the trail, pop over here to refuel!

This is one of very few places our family of five can always agree on for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We especially love the sandwiches, with a great selection of meats and delicious breads. Just today I called in an order from the car and was struggling to remember the name of a sandwich. The staff member on the phone was super patient, and helped me figure out which sandwich my father wanted. When we arrived, our seven sandwich order was perfect! I highly recommend stopping by.

This is a uniquely hidden gem, and a great breakfast spot… If you can find it! Serving up delicious homemade breakfast sandwiches and fresh hot coffee, the market on the boulevard is usually only frequented by those who know about it… Which isn’t a lot of people. The staff is very friendly and the parking is plenty adequate. I highly recommend grabbing breakfast here one morning.

This place is terrible. You can't get a bagel sandwich after 11 am. They say they have a whole bunch of smoothies but they only have strawberry banana. The wine is outrageously overpriced...you can go next door to the Bethesda Co-OP for the same stuff. Candy bars are like 8$. It's a ridiculous enterprise.

Delicious Korean food in addition to a huge Boars head deli menu. Great place to go and spend time with a close friend with little to no interruptions over a bottle of wine or beer purchased in the market at fair prices and no corking fees. Definitely planning more trips there on evenings out to go dancing at Glen Echo a few minutes away.
