We accept most major insurance plans. However, as every insurance policy differs, we strongly encourage you to contact your insurance company prior to your appointment to confirm coverage of our services. Please arrive at our office 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow time for check-in and/or update of insurance information.
Medical dermatology encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of conditions involving skin, hair, and nails. In some cases, a skin biopsy is required to help guide management. A small sample of skin is removed, and sent off for processing and microscopic evaluation by a board-certified dermatopathologist.
At Upstate Dermatology, all surgical procedures are done under local anesthesia (numbing medicine), and performed by the physician. Surgeries are typically done following a skin biopsy to ensure complete removal of skin cancer. The particular management strategy is customized for each patient and diagnosis.
We offer an exclusive selection of non-surgical cosmetic treatments that are effective and affordable. To demonstrate our commitment to providing the highest quality care, all in-office treatments are performed directly by the physician. It is our practice policy to credit the fee for cosmetic consultation toward the cost of the patient's first in-office cosmetic treatment.

Please don't bother with this Dr. After seeing him for several appointments it's clear that he isn't willing to take the time to make sure his patients are okay. He constantly brushed off my symptoms and said we should wait to see if I got any worse - I did and ended up in the hospital. Before that he prescribed a medication from a specialty pharmacy, and of course it was very expensive. When I mentioned it was not helping he laughed it off and didn't bother prescribing anything to replace it. Honestly, the best thing he did for me was refer me to another doctor.

I was referred to Dr Kormans office from another dr. I have psoriasis and take medication to keep it in check.
I had an appointment in January which I cancelled due to covid concerns. I had medication at that time.
I ran out of medication and called to schedule an appointment. Could not get another appointment for over two months. I told them I would be in bad shape after 2 months with no medication, and I was told I shouldn't have cancelled my appointment. I offered to have my bloodwork done and sent to them so the dr could fill my medication, they said no he had to see me 1st. I spoke with

I was extremely pleased with my visit! Dr. Korman and his staff were very friendly and helpful. He took his time and explained everything in detail, as well as answered all of my questions. The office environment was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of parking and easy to get in-and-out of. I would highly recommend Upstate Dermatology!!

Dr. Korman was able to see me within a week when all other dermatologists told me I couldn't be seen until a month later. I had an infected cyst above my eye that had swollen to the size of a grape. He offered me 3 different solutions and gave me his advise, I ultimately chose to have it drained and he supported my decision. Can't thank Dr. Korman enough for the services he provided on such a short notice.

My experience with Dr. Korman was a waste of much time, money, and pain. I had a lipoma “removed” by Dr. Korman over a year and a half ago, or so I thought. The bump never went away, but got increasingly bigger. I scheduled a follow up appointment with Dr. Korman to have it checked (I had to wait six weeks for that appointment). He was dismissive and told me that exercise might help the bump go away!! Seriously?!
I went to a different doctor who removed a large (ping long ball sized) encapsulated lipoma that was very deep, and he did it with an incision half the size. Apparently Dr. Korman

Dr. Korman is one of the best dermatologist I've ever been to. Being a 29 year old woman with adult onset acne is tough enough as it is. Many dermatologist will sit there and tell you "don't pick you will make it worse." Dr. Korman does not chastise you in matters that he can understand. He spent a great deal of time with me when I told him about my acne and my excessive hair growth on my chin and neck. He made a treatment plan specifically for me. Now after a month, I am clearing up more than I ever had with any dermatologist. This is the truth. He will listen to you and he takes his time out
