This innovative program offers children 5 and under an introduction to social skills, etiquette and karate basics. Make Saturday mornings more meaningful by learning together in a safe and fun, family-oriented environment. Personal safety and self-defense workshops intended to increase awareness, problem solving and confidence in your daily life.

Services
We are still offering private and pod lessons, both online and in-person. It's important for parents to know what their children are learning at each level, as well as have realistic goals and expectations. We're all looking for something different. It might be a boost in confidence, a new cultural experience or an alternative to the gym routine.
Any martial art will make your life safer. More specifically, the traditional Okinawan karate we teach is good for practical self-defense because it was made for exactly that. In terms of fitness, all classes involve movement, whether at low or high intensity, so the fitness elements of muscular endurance, flexibility and strength are always present.

Boston Budo sponsored Big Sister Boston for our November 2021 Big for a Day event and it was a huge success!
We had 25 participants and everyone left with a lot of helpful skills and prevention awareness knowledge they'll take with them outside the studio and beyond. Sensei Noah and Duane were extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and inclusive.
Looking forward to collaborating with this fantastic father-son duo for a future Big Sister event.

Boston Budo is a magical place, not just a dojo. Me and my son practiced for several years here. It’s a great place to spend quality time together, learn meaningful skills and create good memories. Sensi Noah and Duane are inspiring people with extraordinary knowledge about martial arts and incredible devotion to pass it on to their students.

My son had a wonderful introduction to karate with Sensei Noah 10 years ago, as a kindergartner. We were so grateful to reconnect recently, forming a small class of teen boys, who are thriving in their work with Sensei on martial arts and lifetime fitness skills. He knows just how to blend learning with fun and discipline, at the right developmental age for his students. He is providing our group of boys with life lessons, fitness, and mentorship that will impact them throughout the future. As a parent, I’m also very grateful for Sensei’s clear, consistent communication about scheduling, class

Class with Sensei Noah is absolutely a highlight of the week for our son (5) and daughter (3). Noah brings a steady and calm demeanor to his instruction, setting high expectations for focus and attention from the students - and somehow actually getting it. He understands how to engage and challenge young children in a safe and fun way, and our kids adore him. Highly recommend working with Noah if you can!

I'm so glad I stumbled on Boston Budo online. Covid really limited the physical activities my son was able to participate in and karate has provided a huge positive outlet for him - both mentally and physically. Not only does my son participate in the class lessons, but we do private lessons as well so he can have one-on-one time. It has been awesome seeing my son push himself physically while learning about focus and control. Sensei Noah is an excellent teacher.

Boston Budo, and Noah as a Sensei is an acceptional addition to our life. First time my 15 years old teenager is actually excited about sports, thought he was swimming since he was 5. I, as a member of Karate Moms group, have to admit that though we've just recently started we are learning so much about physical and psychological aspects of self defense. Noah brings so much to the class. He knows how to make it fun and challenging at the same time, he constantly is pushing you to the next level. He is very passionate about Karate and have a great understanding of human body. So I hope we will have

Noah is an extraordinary teacher, keeping our five year old not only engaged while learning but also excited to participate. Noah leads a class of discipline and focus and our son has benefited so greatly from Noah's teaching style. Sanchin Martial Arts...what can I say, all around solid class. Location is great, right in the heart of Beacon Hill with a great space.
I have studied the arts for over 10 years. The instructor is very personable and knows his stuff. I think I enjoyed it most because of the mix. We did some Wing Chun drills, close hand to hand stuff, some karate, forms, bag work etc.
For a 45 minute session I got a great work out, learned a few things, and was around some great people. Highly recommend!
