Friendly atmosphere and they always seem to get the job done without issues after I leave. Which is a plus. I don't know how many times I have taken my car to get repaired at other places to find more issues after I had work done. They seem honest.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE COULD NOT GIVE A STRAIGHT ANSWER ON THE PRICE JUST TO GET 4 BRAKES CHANGED ON MY VEHICLE. DIDNT GET HER NAME BUT WAS YELLED AT AND HUNG ON BY THE LADY THAT ANSWERED THE PHONE. Why would i come spend a penny there if youre that disrespectful on the phone.

I have been going here for years, but have never thought to write a review. Hands down the best mechanic i have ever had the pleasure of working with. Never try to oversell you and always responsive and give you a heads up to needed repairs. This past Friday I was driving to Williamsburg and my car's engine completely died on 64 near Williamsburg. I called Broad Street and they had no problem letting AAA bring the car to the shop and let it sit there over the weekend, and promptly repaired the car on Monday without an appointment. It was not a cheap repair, but it was needed and I am confident

I don't often write reviews. However, my experience with Broad Street Auto & Tire Inc. warranted one. I set an 8am appointment online, two evenings ahead of time, for a state inspection. The next morning, I received a confirmation for the appointment. That morning, I arrived just prior to 8am. At 8am, I walked in the door and was kindly greeted with my name and verification that I was there for an inspection. I handed them my keys and stepped outside. They knew I had a VOLVO 2005 XC90 coming in. Needed the A/C looked at. No cold air. Should have just bought a $40 canister charge. Instead they started off by stating it would be $50 to look at it. Then when I got there they quoted me $120 just to see if it would hold a charge.
I got there at exactly my appointment time 1:30pm. I left at exactly 1:50pm. Barely 20 minutes!!
Was told there was a bigger problem but they didn't know what it was and didn't have the equipment to figure it out. Only that a little bit of cold air only came from the passenger side. So, they said they charged

So I took me car here because NTB/Merchants tire failed my inspection and quoted me at $1300 in repairs to make it pass inspection....so of course that's outrageous, I took it here to Broad and the people here were very quick to take my car in and get it inspected, AND it passed ( to no surprise.) Come here and don't go to NTB. The people at Broad Auto are fair and honest!

I've had terrible car maintenance experiences in the past, and was skeptical of the five star reviews for Broad Street Auto & Tire. I'm now so glad that I gave them a try; if every service is this painless they have a customer for life. I booked only a few days in advance for a state inspection, and was in and out in 25 minutes for a grand total of $16. All the work on my and my family's cars I do myself, except for alignments and state inspections which I cannot do. A few months back I was looking for a shop, and tried Broad Street Tire and Auto for an alignment. They did a great job and I had a good experience.
A few months later, my mother's car needed inspection and tires. I sent her to Broad Street Tire and Auto and expected to hear a call telling me "Sir, you need tires to pass an inspection." and I was going to buy a set of very expensive tires. Instead

Although I've lived in Richmond for almost ten years, in the past, I would take an hour and a half drive back to my hometown just to get a state inspection. Before finding Broad Street Auto, I've had horrible experiences with other shops in the area. Sent my 18 year old daughter in and they fixed her car....for $386. They did not provide a written estimate. They say they gave her a verbal one over the phone but the only call to her was when car was done. I pulled her phone records. Gave owner two opportunities to make amends and she did nothing but argue with me and tell me she has a margin to make. She charged $70 per part and I've found the same part all over the internet for $43. Local shop shouldn't be more expensive than the dealership.

Very glad that I found this shop! They gave me a good deal on a set of tires for my car, and were really pleasant to deal with. I mainly spoke with Alice and Ronnie, and they were both very nice people that I enjoyed talking with. I had a bunch of questions, and even though they were very busy leading up to the holidays, they were super informative on everything I inquired about. They really know their stuff.
They even gave me a T shirt after my car was done which I am happy to wear to spread the word about this place!

STAY AWAY! These people are the rudest shop I have ever encountered in my entire life. I have no clue how a business that is so rude to customers even exists. The woman at the desk is the most unpleasant human being, she yelled at me and was rude when all I did was ask about specific charges that were placed onto my car. If you value your money and want somewhere that not only will take care of your car, but also treat you with respect, stay far far far away from this shop. I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

Ronnie and Robbie are nice honest guys. We were staying at St Marys Hospital from out of town and our van started shaking while we were driving. These guys figured out the problem and fixed it real easy. Amazing place amazing guys. I would definitely recommend to anyone. They also have this really neat bench made from a Chevy pickup.

Feel lucky to have found these guys. Super friendly, honest and eager to help. Offered the best rate around and did a fantastic job bringing my car back to health! I went in for a VA state inspection and oil change. The staff was really friendly and helpful and they got me in and out in about half an hour. The price they quoted was very accurate and they didn't try to push additional unnecessary products or services on me. I don't have a lot of experience with cars, but I felt very comfortable trusting them to be completely honest with me.

I took my car in late (around 4:30pm) one day with some sort of exhaust issue. Not only did the mechanic have me out of there by 5, but he also told me something to the extent of "Welding that thing was fun. I'll only charge you twelve dollars. Is that ok?"
I dropped my car off before driving from Richmond to San Diego. I'm sure they could have swindled something out of me if they really wanted to, but they were honest and told me my car was fine. I made it
