Hey, I don't know much (anything) about cars, but I do know a bit about people. These were some of the kindest folks at mechanics I've ever met, and the environment was really nice too. They're an appointment-only kind of spot, which I love, so I was in and out for a state inspection in 20 minutes. Now of course, I'm sure if something was wrong I'd have been there longer, but it means a lot that I was helped immediately. And if I'm honest, I was late and I booked a same week appointment, and they were still so kind!!! I don't imagine myself going anywhere else

Having recently brought my car from California to Richmond, I was not aware of the car inspection that needed to be done. Just kept seeing the stickers on everyone's cars and didn't think anything of it but finally decided that I needed to get it done before I got in trouble! Googled for places to take my car too and chose these guys based on the great reviews they received. I called a week before to set up an appointment and was able to get a time that worked perfectly for me.

So far, I have been there for routine things (thankfully, for now), but I like going to them because they are a ma/pa place, quick, and honest.
After a completed oil change Jerry did make a recommendation for the next visit and I appreciated that because I could plan for it (car was driving funky and it made sense).
Also, had an inspection in Jan 2018. Had a broken taillight, he helped me find a new one for as cheap as you can get it ( a friend looked up a used one and it wasn't that much cheaper). At the end of the inspection, he told me that my front breaks were looking worn and that

I walked in on a Tuesday to get an estimate for a broken sideview mirror. Man (Husband) looked at my mirror, talked to me about after-market v. new mirror prices, etc. I gave my registration to Woman (Wife); so, she could get VIN # to check on part. As Husband was handing me back my registration, Wife says to him, "I didn't get her name." I'm standing right there! I say, "I can give you my name."
