Services
Dr. Onafuye trained at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston Salem NC, in Adult Psychiatry, with further fellowship training in Sleep Medicine at the prestigious Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry in Neurology and American Board of Sleep Medicine.
The initial psychiatric evaluation usually requires about one hour. At your first appointment, after completing your paperwork, a clinician will take you to the nurse's station to check your weight and blood pressure. The clinician will then take you to a room to begin your assessment. During this time you will be asked about the reason that you are coming to see us and what has been happening over the last several weeks to months in your life.

Depression is characterized by constant feelings of sadness or emptiness, and may be triggered by certain events or co-exist with other illnesses.
Bipolar disorder, also known as manic-depressive illness, is a complex brain disorder that involves sudden mood shifts from high to low. These dramatic mood swings, known as episodes, are referred to as stages of mania and depression. Bipolar disorder affects over five million Americans. It most frequently develops in late adolescence or early adulthood, but may begin during childhood as well.

Doesn't take my insurance and was very rude on the phone even though I asked if they take cash. They were so rude and just trying to get me off the phone. I know from experience that places that act like this only want to milk insurance companies for insane prices. Most likely. Wouldn't even use them if they did take my insurance.

This place is ran like the mafia. Their website CLEARLY states if you miss an appointment you a billed 100 on the next schedule visit for service. Not only was a taken off the appointment schedule for missing ONE appointment bur i was told my spot was taken and i could not come back. I was also refused my medical records until the fee was paid..It's actually against federal law to withhold medical records from patients. I will be reporting this place to the medical board. The office manager also TRIED to say i owed 50 for a copay when i hv receipts they were paid in FULL the few times i came. Use
