Fragile Fit Alterations

We were referred to FF by the bridal salon and with all the pandemic issues we were thrilled to have someone available. I read the reviews and so was cautious. I should have been more careful, and checked their work.
They bustled the gown in the wrong manner - we had requested under bustling but she did it over the gown, which hid all the detailing in the back. And once we put the gown on the bride, there were bustle loops we could have used had they been placed right after the hem was shortened.
And hours before the ceremony when the bride stepped in the gown we discovered one whole layer -

Darcy is the absolute best! My dress arrived with a lined bodice that ruined the entire look of the dress. The alterations lady I had booked told me there was nothing that could be done. I was ready to buy a new sample dress at the store when the manager recommended Fragile Fit. Darcy squeezed me into her schedule, fixed every problem with the dress, and stayed open late to help get it all completed before the big day. She went above and beyond and I can't recommend her enough!

I met Darcy at I Do Bridal's sample sale a few months ago. She made the process of altering my wedding dress for my last minute summer elopement extremely quick and easy! Among other alterations, Darcy suggested replacing the fit-and-flare white lining of my sample dress with a champagne colored A-line skirt lining that was much more flowy and highlighted the white lace of the skirt much better. It was a subtle change, but it made a world of difference! Darcy and her assistant were not only friendly, professional, and easy to work with, but they worked with me to create my perfect wedding dress

DARCY IS A LIFESAVER!!! I go to her for everything from a romper all the way to my most recent need- MY WEDDING DRESS!!! I was so excited to have Darcy do alterations on my wedding dress as I knew she would make it absolutely perfect! Little did I know she would have to FIX my wedding dress as well. After the bridal shop I ordered from ordered my dress a million sizes too big, they also put different straps on my dress using different lace and added buttons all the way down. Not only did Darcy make my dress fit like a glove, she took the buttons off andddd took lace from my dress to make my straps

Awful experience and costly!! The only alterations needed to our dress were to pull up the shoulder seam a tad, hem the bottom, fix a couple buttons, check over the dress for any loose items/threads, add bustle/hookup, and clean it. This cost us $500 and ended in POOR quality and a dirty dress. The shoulder seam was shortened, but Darcy left raw, open seams. The dress was not hemmed all the way around. Worse of all, the dress was NOT cleaned, even though we were charged for it. As evidence, she told my daugher that a stain would not come out, yet I removed it with just water and a wash cloth. Darcy and Rose are so fun to work with! The shop is so cute, has so many options for accessories! I am so glad I went with her to alter my dress. Darcy made it a stress free experience!

Hello! I don’t write reviews, I really never have. But my best friend is getting married and had Darcy recommended to her from where she got her dress from. Not only was her dress not ready when it was supposed to be, which they were minor fixes which should have been fine. So they rescheduled the pickup for her wedding dress “fixed” three days before the wedding. Cutting it close but should be fine if accurate. Darcy didn’t work on her dress since said original pickup, so she goes in and feels uncomfortable because another bride is there so Darcy is flustered and quickly “fixes” what

Quality wise, Darcy did a great job on my dress. No complaints there! My poor experience with caused me to post 2/5 stars was with the professionalism and responsiveness and slight concern I wasn’t going to get my dress back. If you want a happy, stress free experience, my personal recommendation/experience suggests you go elsewhere, which I’m really sad to say, because I thought I was going to love Darcy after my friend recommended her to me.

If you don't want to be stressing about your dress alterations do NOT come to fragile fit. I wish I had believed more of the bad reviews instead of thinking "that won't happen to me" I scheduled my first wedding dress fitting about two months before my wedding (as recommend by Darcy) The night before she texted me to reschedule, not a big deal, we still had plenty of time. The first appointment was fine, I tried on my dress and we talked about alterations and a bustle. We scheduled a second fitting for about a month later. When I showed up for my second fitting another girl was there getting alterations

Darcy did an incredible job on my wedding dress. I've had issues in the past and left feeling so excited and happy with the alterations of my dress! Highly recommend!

Three stars only because the owner was so kind to fit my daughter in for a wedding dress alteration. Sadly, the alterations on my daughter's Sarah Seven dress were sub-par and incredibly expensive. We had to have it re-redone back in Houston. Again, they were all very nice- but maybe they were too busy.

The experience with Darcy at Fragile Fit has been nothing short of exceptional. She did the alterations for both my ceremony dress and what was supposed to be my reception dress. The ceremony dress was too big in all the wrong places and was supposed to be a fit and flare but ended up not looking like a fit an flare at all when it came from the designer. Thank god for Darcy and her skills, she turned my fit and flare into a real fit and flare looking dress. TLDR - Darcy and Fragile fit are probably fine if you want something to "fit you better" or if you need anything added to your dress. She is very kind, personable, and I'm sure she knows what she's doing. However, I will not be returning and I could not recommend her if you have a specific look in mind or have ANY sort of time crunch at all.

My negative dress experience starts at The Dress Theory where I purchased my dress. Their in house alterations specialist was booked, and they recommended 4 other alterations specialists, including Fragile Fit.

Darcy is amazing. She's a total pro, experienced, and gets straight to the point with you. She gave me excellent tips about my dress (and my tan lines -- glad she mentioned it!), and she's even tailoring my mother-in-law's old wedding dress into a new dress for me, and making a small handbag from the extras -- so, so thoughtful of her. The pricing is also AMAZING, I can't recommend her enough.

I hate to give bad reviews, but this place was unprofessional. They were not wearing masks both times I went. Darcy was very rude to her assistant. Had my bridesmaid alter her dress through them and they didn't even have her try it on when she came back to pick it up to make sure it fit right. They also tried giving my bridesmaid a wedding dress and not her wine color dress. I also saw them let their dog come into the room. I'd advise you not to go here.

Came here to get my wedding dress altered, and it was a very no fuss experience. You make your appointment, try on the dress, and then come back a few weeks later to pickup (each of my appointments was only ~15 min). Darcy did a great job on my dress, and her craftsmanship is not a question at all. Her prices are also the best you'll find.

The owner and her helpers were lovely people - the only comment would be that for those like me (who always arrive early) the door was always locked and I never saw someone inside until the exact time of my appointment. Again, not really a negative since

I had my wedding dress alterations done at Fragile Fit and I’m very happy with her work! Darcy was recommended by my bridal salon, a&be, and she was very close to my Lynnwood residence. She and her assistant paid attention to every detail of the dress, and steamed it before the pickup date. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring it back for a cleaning or send others to Darcy, she’s great! Very knowledgeable and kind.

Darcy did an amazing job on my dress. My dress was a few sizes too big and she was able to transform it into everything I wanted. She added a low back and straps to the dress and it turned out beautiful. My dress fit like a glove. Not only is she very accommodating, but she gives great advice and you can just tell that she's been doing this for a long time. I would recommend her over and over again to anyone needing wedding dress alterations.

Darcy is wonderful. She was super accommodating to schedule me in for fittings up until the very last minute, as I got married at 5 months pregnant and changed rapidly as the date approached.

The dress turned out beautifully and everybody is raving about how stunning the gown was.

Darcy was great to work with and was helpful in making suggestions for alterations, with the notable exception that she forgot to complete the alterations we had agreed on.

At my second and final fitting she showed me cups for the dress that she had special ordered to better fit my smaller frame- which was awesome. When I went in to pick up my dress, I was surprised that I wasn't going to be trying it on. Per her website that's her policy so that the pressed dress doesn't get all messed up- which makes sense. She gave me useful instructions on how to keep the dress from wrinkling

Darcy was such an amazing person to work with for alterations on my wedding dress!! She came highly recommended from my wedding planner, so I decided to give her a try because she was so highly recommended online as well. I even called her up really late (definitely after the deadline one should be calling to get their wedding dress altered) and I was able to work out a time slot with her to get on her calendar.
